🌸🐝 - [ so. this is still a little bit of time away, but i think it's time i put this out here: i am moving blogs. this decision is mainly motivated by my desire to move beelzebub in a more fandomless direction. the new blog will be mutuals only, and i will be giving the url out sparingly.

[ what does this mean for hazbin verse stuff? good news: i will have a sideblog on my new blog that will include hazbin and helluva boss verses as part of it. if anyone would like, i would love to continue hazbin-focused threads there.

[ i am slowly answering everything in my drafts and getting them into the queue before i make the big move over, but when i do, this blog will officially be archived. i will not respond to messages / asks / etc. sent here. i'm sorry if this upsets anyone, it is not meant to. this is just something i've been thinking of doing for a good bit of time and finally made the decision to go ahead with. ]

He's back in Gabe's office. It's possibly starting to become more of a habit than it already was. But this time it's not just the angel he's expecting (maybe even hoping) to see. But something else catches his eye. A letter, and.... it's addressed to him? Oh, there's a sigil on it. He can't help but recognize it. "She's... inviting me for tea?" It's been a while since he's been to Gluttony.

It would be rude to turn Beelzebub down, though it's unlikely he would anyway. He likes her well enough from their brief meetings. So he writes her back, accepting the invitation and sends it before returning home. "Now to pick out what to wear..."

"Mail for you, Your Majesty."

Jackson's voice cut through Bee's thoughts, bringing her back to the present. One hand reached out automatically for the stack of letters, a weary smile on her face. "Let me guess, RSVPs for the latest party?"

"Some, yes. There is also a letter for you from Violence." He pulled another note from the inner pocket of his suit, the paper folded neatly, a wax seal holding it together. This, Bee eagerly reached for, excitement lighting her up like a Sinsmas tree. "Oh, finally!" A claw easily broke through the hardened wax, slicing it away and thumbing the letter open. Her eyes scanned over it and a smile broke out. "Jackson, we'll be having a guest today for tea. Make sure the garden's ready. I'm thinking the Wrath section."

A small chuckle left the Hellhound, "Of course, the Wrath section. Will we be needing the umbrellas?"

"Obviously. Can't have the sun ruining my complexion, now, can we~?" She held her serious expression for all of a few seconds before bursting out into laughter. "Ah, I needed that. But yes, the umbrellas. And a good selection of sandwiches. I think our guest will be hungry."

"As you say." The old 'Hound smiled to see her so excited about a visit, giving a small bow as he pressed the rest of her mail into her hand. "All should be ready by eleven."

"...it can be." She wasn't going to sugar-coat that fact, not when he'd asked her so openly. So honestly. "It could be a danger to you, and to the people around you. Things around here, they'll sniff out anything they see as a weakness, anything they think they can use against you. They'll find it out and pick at it, feeding off of it, until they hit you where it really hurts. They'll go after what you love."

"Here's what they don't know, though. Those so-called weaknesses? They can be a strength you've never known before. Use them that way. Those bonds you have, strengthen them until nothing could against you and those you care for. We've got so few people like you down here in Hell. It'd be a shame to see this place ruin another person."

【𐂃】 ACK—! holding on for dear life; the imp latched his hands around the hybrid's forearms. holding tight as his knees tuck in. tail curling between his legs like a kitten being carried by their scruff. Being manhandled wasn't something Blitz was fond of, but... with her — he allowed it. lightly grunting from the tightness of their embrace yet relishing every second of it. figuring he should reciprocate, given what today is.

he inquired with a genuine smile, returning the hug by wrapping his tail around her back.

"Very convenient," Bee agreed with a smile as she settled into the embrace, enjoying the warmth and comfort it brought her after yet another sleepless night. "And aww spitfire, you're too sweet, checking up on me~"

(Was that a bit of surprise in her tone? Perhaps.)

"Lemme repay you." The Queen was already moving, easily throwing herself up into the air, her wings beating, a pleasant buzzing noise accompanying. "How's breakfast sound?" It sounded good to her, after all. "I'll make whatever you ask for."

"Hey Bee... you good?" Gritt had noticed the far away look on her face, and he set down the sweet treat he'd brought for her to sit down beside her, "... you know, you listen to me bitch and moan a lot... you can always talk to me too, friendship works both ways, as cheesy as that sounds."

"-hm?"

"Oh! Hey, Gritt!" Bee forced some cheeriness into her tone and a smile on her face, doing her best to shake off the melancholy. "Sorry, I was...a little lost for a minute." More than a little, if she was being honest with herself. "What were you saying- oh, hey!" She spotted the sweets beside him, a welcome distraction. "You brought cookies!" They looked wonderful, delicately frosted sugar cookies that turned her forced smile into something real as she reached out to snag one, easily breaking it in half to share. "Fuck yeah, this day just got two hundred percent better~"

Cain gives a chuckle putting his own teacup to his lips and sipping the hot honey tea.

"Nope, thankfully not this time. Poison sucks, almost as much as disease. This time I got taken out by a carpet bombing, thankfully my squad got out, and I was the only casualty. "

He sounds happy about it, being the only one who died this time.

"Aside from war, I've been writting again. I have several tracks I'm working on. And a idea for a album about the Seven Sins, like the postives of each sin. Like how pride can lead you to demands better for yourself and greed helps you survive through tough times. Things like that. "

"I'm glad your friends survived this time."

That wasn't always the case, Bee knew. There were times when Cain would return to Hell, surrounded by those who had gone with him. She despised those times, hated having to see the first son mourn the loss of his friends twice over. Three times, if extermination got to them. "Still, a bombing. Must've taken you a bit to piece yourself back together."

She popped a piece of smoked salmon into her mouth, chewing on it while Cain spoke of what he'd been doing besides battle. It pleased her, to hear that he'd been writing again, though the subject matter seemed almost funny. Songs about the positives of sin. Were Adam ever to hear, she knew, he'd likely be screaming himself hoarse about it. "I'm glad you've found something else to keep you busy besides fighting. Maybe you'll indulge me with one of those songs before you're dragged back up, hmm? I'd love to hear them. And I could sing you one of mine."

"I...I understand." It still hurt, mind you, but she at least got why she would refuse. A human in Hell would cause a lot of people to talk, and very little of it good. As unfair as it was, well...That's politics for you. It's the same reason they had to use a human disguise when in the mortal world...Wait...

Suddenly, an idea popped into Loona's mind. One that re-ignited the hope in her. If she couldn't bring Andi to the party, then what if...

"Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a human disguise, would you?"

...What if she brought the party to Andi?

The disappointment on Loona's face had Bee biting back another apology, her bright colors muting as the bitter taste rolled over her tongue. She wished it could be another way, but her hands were tied, bound by rules that had long-ago been established. Humans could only enter Hell after Death, unless permission had been granted by Lucifer, himself. And, despite how close they were, the Queen of Gluttony knew there was no way she could convince him to let a human down just for a simple party...

...but what if the party went to the human, instead? There were no rules against her traveling to Earth - in fact, she was certain such a thing would be encouraged, considering how she hadn't been topside in so long. She opened her mouth, ready to suggest exactly that, when Loona beat her to the punch. You wouldn't happen to have a human disguise, would you-?

"Y'know, as a matter of fact, I do."

"yeah! i am! or at least i think i so? he was a little weird when he first talked to me." eclipse admitted honestly. "but i'm so-ooooo glad we can all be friends!"

his faceplate then tilts slightly when she tried to explain what sinners were. he didn't quite get it. if they were humans then why not call them that? "is that why everyone looks so different here? because they're sinners now?" he's seen so many of these sinners already in the short time he's been here that looked like they could have been a new mascot for the next restaurant chain. "that's right! i'm not a human or a sinner! i'm an animatronic!" maybe that helps explain whatever it is she's tasting on him?

"Mm. Well...kind of. It's because they-"

She paused a moment, a thought sparking in her mind as she looked at the animatronic before her, frowning. Would he... would he even know or understand what death was? "...They were taken out of commission and brought here. It changed them." There. That was a safe enough answer, wasn't it? "But you, you're still in perfect working order." She assumed. "Which isn't normal for down here. But if Lucifer let you in, I suppose it doesn't matter." Though he could've given the rest of them a heads up beforehand. "How're you liking it here so far? Anyone given you any trouble?"

Octavia noticed her sad expression before it disappeared with a blink. It seemed that her questions stirred unpleasant thoughts, memories and feelings. The sadness was quickly replaced by anger at the mention of the serpent, and along with the mention of Samuel made the princess pause.

"...who's Samuel? And wasn't Lucifer supposed to be the serpent?" It seemed that the serpent from the story, as she knew it, was a different entity entirely. If that was the case, then was it the serpent and not Lucifer who caused The Fall?

There were also questions about the language she spoke mere moments ago, but those could be asked later.

"Samael." A gentle correction, said with a smile that didn't quite take the sadness out of her eyes. "That was Lucifer's name. It was changed after an ...accident involving the dinosaurs."

A story for another time, if Octavia cared to listen. It wasn't often Bee got to divulge bits of the past. Was less often she allowed herself to do so to anyone who hadn't lived at least part of it.

"As for the bit about him being the serpent... Humanity changed some things. Not their fault, of course - how could they know the full story? But their changes made the story something new. It twisted the history into something so unlike what was, the differences are too many to name." She sighed, reaching up to run a hand through her hair. "Fuck, I can't believe how much is still wrong here..."

"Disrespect."

Two voices, one answer. Two sets of eyes, shimmering pink and frosty blue, stare at the Grayface from two entirely different faces. Beelzebub's expression is softer, kind, but with a stern set to the jaw. Galilee's lips are turned to a deep frown, white brows furrowed. Neither will tolerate disrespect to themselves or others they respect.

"Mm. That's one way to put it. I mean, fuck, doesn't every parent set themself on fire for their kids?" Sure, the Hellhounds weren't biologically related to her. And sure, she hadn't paid the attention to all of them she'd meant to in recent years. But... "'Sides, it makes the pups feel safe. And it gives them all a story to tell. Who'm I to take that away?"

"Maybe you do set fire to a few things." She'd seen that firsthand, after all, at her party. "But you try and fix them, too. Might come late, Spitfire, but as long as the fixin' comes, that's what's important."

The mention of that fucked up trial had her ears pressing back, a bit of melancholy stealing over her face. "I just wish I could've done more for you all. Nothing that happened there was fair or right. None of it was-" Justice- "-what it should've been. But, hey. If you do find a pup in need of that story, tell it to 'em your way. It'd probably be more badass than what really happened."

"He was. Even came to me, asking about my legions." She could still remember that confrontation in her garden like it had happened only yesterday. "But, even if he was, it's supposedly his duty to call for the damn trial. Unless he wants to admit to all of Hell, he backed the losing side."

And everyone knew that would never happen. "Still, if it comes down to it, I'll put out the word. Can't exactly let this bullshit slide considering a Sinner decided to go against everything we've built, now, can we?

"Aww, you two know I wouldn't deny you that sort of thing~ Though, I'm gonna have to ask you to share, I haven't had sushi in a hot minute, and I've been having the worst cravings lately."

"Of course we can spare a piece for you, Bee~ Wouldn't want you to miss out on all the fun either." Levi smirked deviously, her mouth watering at the thought of possibly getting to devour the megalodon. It's been far too long after all.

"But yeah, we sure as fuck agree." Athan huffed through her nostrils. "If we let this shit slide then any sinner with a little bit of power, and their head up their ass can think they can just get away with this. Eventually, he needs to be made an example of."

Bee felt a bit of relief, hearing those words. It lightened something in her to know someone agreed with her right off, that she wasn't going to have to argue and fight to get her words heard. "He does. But it isn't just him, of course. There are others."

She leaned in just a bit, her voice going low. "The other two who call themselves Vees. Anyone at that godforsaken fucking rally who might've heard his words." And the most damned of all, "Whoever told him about Lucifer's condition."

It had been a shock to her, to learn that someone knew about Lucifer's restrictions. A worse one, still, to know that now all of Hell could know. "We're going to have a busy time."

But instead of directly calling Beelzebub out, the Speaker merely regards her with her usual serene expression. "True, there are indeed difficulties we often have to work through alone...but I find that it also helps to talk them through with another person. Perhaps it would help ease your burdens to talk what is currently troubling you with me? I've been told I'm a good listener." She smiles playfully.

A good listener. She had always been that hadn't she? And Beelzebub knew she could use someone to listen to her for once. Someone she could talk to without having to second-guess every word, every phrase, to make certain she wasn't giving away more than she should. Someone who she could confess to, as ironic as it sounded. The former Virtue sighed as she slumped down to sit on the hard-packed ground, her tail curling around her as she tilted her head back to the sky. "...Things are changing, y'know. You can see it everywhere: Heaven, Hell, doesn't matter, things aren't what they used to be. This mess with that Sinner..."

Her voice lowered to a growl as the recent events replayed in her mind. A Sinner believing he could lead a war against Heaven. Had they not already proven such a thing was a folly? "It's brought back a lot of old memories."
