Headcanon: After the events of The Spelling Bee, Pippa befriends Julie Hubble. Because she’s used to working with the non-magical parents of magical children, she knows how help Mildred’s mum understand Mildred’s powers. They go round to the pub once a month to talk about magic and Mildred, and they become really good mates. Even if the name Hecate Hardbroom is a bit of the elephant in the room for both of them.
And as Pippa works on navigating her personal relationship with Hecate, their weekly tea visits or mirror chats usually involve her trying to subtly shift HB towards mentoring Millie. Given that she is in the unique position to understand both Julie’s concern about how hard HB is on her daughter and Hecate’s deep fear that Mildred will injure herself or her classmates, along with her own unwavering confidence in Mildred’s abilities, Pippa succeeds in getting HB to form a strong and special mentorship with Mildred. And Mildred just blossoms.
And then, idk. I kinda would love for Julie to corner HB on parent’s night and just be all “She’s in love with you, you fool!” or for Mildred to be close enough with HB that she knows when Pippa’s due for a visit and is, like, constantly parent-trapping them.
Wow I know this was posted a while ago but where is this gif from??!! I love it!
I give a lot of credits to MF/P. Not only because they’re like mama and papa to TS, they also managed to sell PC to the world as anything good. It takes top-notch planning and strategizing to hide the mess that is Gabby. Gui actually skates well and does hip hop excellently, but he is limited by Gabby’s ability.
Honestly I love MF and Patrice but there’s a part of me that’s really bitter about them creating the monster that is P/C and unleashing it on the world of ice dance. Like how can they have so many great teams with different styles who show so much appreciation to the sport and still stand behind a team that’s the absolute worst at anything but one style, haven’t shown respect the the sport or it’s competitors and don’t get what sportsmanship mean even if it bite them in the ass.
(Yes I’m bitter I know, but P/C are the absolute worst and I’m done with it all)
how do people get yelled at without crying i dont understand
Smart and lazy is a horrible combination that results in disappointed teachers, exasperated friends and a whole lot of bad doodling
Oh shit this was literally me in school
Don’t forget those angry parents and half finished homework assignments crumpled in your binders
Im smart and tired I want to do good but i dont feel like trying anymore
Smart and depressed is even worse

WHATTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT IM DEAD
FUCK OFF NO WAY
20 Questions With Helena Bonham Carter: Harper's Bazaar 2012
First record bought: Either Supertramp or Neil Diamond's 'The Jazz Singer'. I was 14. I loved the film. I have always loved Musicals.
Book that changed your life: 'A Room With a View', because if it hadn't been written I would have had a crap career.
Recurring dream: As a child I had a recurring nightmare of being eaten by a crab. I'd be walking through a forest and out came a crab that pursued me. Then, between me and the house, which was my safe haven, there would be a carpet of lobsters. My mum, who's a psychotherapist says it's my internal critic having a field day.
What makes you laugh: Quite a lot. Tim Burton. My children Billy Ray (eight) and Nell (four). Thank God they have a sense of humor.
Which artwork would you appear in?: Anything by Chagall. His figures always seem to be flying, which I love. Or happy or in a state of love.
Film you wish you'd been in: It would have to be Fred Astaire musical. That's my idea of a dream, singing and dancing. In Fact I'm learning to tap-dance now with my kids. I used to love 'The French Lieutenant's Woman' and actually stalked Jeremy Irons when I was 15. I'd go up and down the street where he used to live. It was scary. I have met him since and he was horrified to find that out. It's funny- as soon as I met him, I thought "What was all that about?" I really like [his wife] Sinéad though.
Most treasured possession: My contact lenses, because I do love seeing.
Last time you cried: Sometimes I pretend-cry at home with Tim, just to see if I can get going [In mock sobs] "What am I doing? I haven;t got anything for dinner..." He gets very concerned. Unfortunately, if you're tired, it can spill over into real tears.
Favorite film wig: Bellatrix's. It was so messy that I didn't need constant touch-us on set.
On-set moment you'll never forget:Having Brad Pitt on top of me in 'Fight Club' covered in stickers (for special effects) but otherwise naked. Jesus that was a great day. It was before I met Tim. I just remember having lots of chats. Brad was a real gentleman. He told me about the person he;d just met, who turned out to be Jennifer Aniston. We talked about his interest in photography and architecture. It was hilarious.
How do you relax?: Aromatherapy Associates bath oils. And Bikram yoga.
Recurrent marital row: Sometimes I'm quite candid about Tim. I remember once I spoke out about his kidney stones and he didn't like that. My mouth talks before the brain edits me. Tim is the reverse.
On your bedside table: Lots of old Sunday papers and past issues of 'The Week'. Out of optimism, I think I'll get around to them one day.
Biggest life turning point: Saying yes to "Planet of the Apes' for the ape school, and not realizing what was around the corner.
Describe your own style: Erratic. Tim was very happy with the 'Daily Mail' calling it 'Bulgarian elf'. That seems to have stuck.
Favorite outfit: Gazillions. I love hats. I have a Micky Mouse hat I'm probably too old to wear, but fuck it. Most things are bought for my daughter but I end up wearing them because she throws them across the room.
Biggest regret: I've not watched or seen enough. I love musicals and should be a big fan of 'Glee', but I never have time to watch it. I haven;t even seen 'Homeland'. David Cameron, who I know a bit, watches so much. I'm like "When do you have the time?" He days if your on a plane to Afghanistan, you have to do something. Which I suppose makes sense.
Fame is...: Not going to help if you have low self-esteem. Fame is a gilded cage. It actually reduces your life. You stop looking. You stop being curious. And that is so important.
What is your wildest moment?: Well I'm not going to tell the world. But it was really fantastic.
“Be yourself. No one else can.”

The reason depression is literally the worst is not because of the soul-crushing sadness or the wanting to kill yourself or the self harm or all the violent and extreme emotions that come with dealing with this particular mental handicap. It’s the long and painful stretches of days of weeks of months where you’re not really depressed, but you kind of just exist. The time you spend sitting in bed aimlessly browsing the Internet instead of finishing that video game you thought was fun or going out with a friend to see a movie or getting up and doing your laundry. You exist, and it’s okay, but you’re not really sure why. You’re not doing anything productive when you have all the time in the world to be doing it. You feel like you’re missing out on life, but at the same time you feel that it doesn’t really matter. That’s the worst kind of depression.
Oh god, this, this is my life. And then you’re like ‘well, I’m not really *depressed*’, because you aren’t crying and hating yourself you’re just kinda.. not much of anything, so you don’t even feel you can do that self care thing of ‘I am ill right now and it is ok to take a day in bed/doing a nice thing’ because it’s 6 months of the same. It’s like being in standby mode for life.
I have 3 moods:
skips every song in my playlist
lets the music play without interruption
plays the same song on repeat for days
This is why I don’t tell 99% people im bisexual
I love how gay people do it too. Just… really? You’re literally saying the same shit to bisexuals that straight people say to you, and you don’t see the hypocrisy?
If youre biphobic or hate bisexuals, fucking unfollow me, for serious.
If youre biphobic or hate bisexuals, fucking unfollow me, for serious.
Why is this a thing like really? Homosextual people of ALL beings should understand that you like what you like and if the answer multiple choice then that’s just more love to go around non?
