ALL-IN-ONE .PSD by pleyita
This .PSD file includes a whole bunch of fun presets and adjustments to use after brightening up your photographs or screenshots. It includes:
Color Pop! Options - even better than using Vibrance adjustments! These Color Pop adjustments will bring out the colours in your pictures without changing the hues. There are two colour pop options, one of which makes cool tones sharper while brightening the warm tones, and one which does an all-over saturation boost.
Radial, Reflected & Linear Gradients - Greyscale gradient overlays that can be used alone or mix-and-matched to create dynamic lighting in your pictures. They range from subtle to intense, and some only darken edges rather than having dark edge/light inside.
Movable Spotlight - Basically, a radial gradient ‘spotlight’ that you can drag to a specific part of your image (doesn’t have to be in the center of your picture!) Useful for bringing attention to a certain area of a screenshot subtly.
Color Effects Overlays - A small selection of color effects for your pictures, which make warm/cool tones pop, hazes, and black-and-white presets.
Hope you enjoy!

What kind of training does a character have to go through if he has to be able to keep going in a fight but was injured?
None. There’s actually two parts to this; the injuries themselves, and the pain from those injuries.
Nearly any physical activity will eventually introduce you to managing pain. Note: “managing”, not ignoring.
Managing pain isn’t something you can teach, you can’t rationally explain it to someone. You experience pain, and push on.
This is part of the point of all those extreme endurance training exercises, it’s as much about learning to deal with discomfort and finding your actual limits as it is about physical conditioning and fitness. The trick is to inflict as much discomfort as possible (not just pain) without actually harming the participants.
Of course, this also gets warped into outright sadism by writers that don’t understand the point. So, if you’ve got a story where they’re torturing characters as “training”, that’s probably what you’re looking at.
It doesn’t make you ignore pain, but it does give you a better grasp of what pain actually means.
You can’t power through injuries. If your character’s actually been seriously hurt, they can’t ignore it. This is the point where something in their body has been damaged, and there is no way you can simply go “I’m givin’ ‘er all she’s got, Captain!” and keep fighting.
Minor cuts, scrapes, and bruises hurt, and could cause someone without any experience to think that something’s gone really wrong, but the fact is, it hasn’t. Also, remember, bruises take a few minutes to form, so they won’t really start until after the fight is already over.
Deep tissue cuts, severed tendons, torn muscles, broken bones, concussions, punctured lungs? These are things that your character will need to work around. You can’t use a broken arm to fight. It just doesn’t work anymore. The same goes for everything else on that list. These don’t automatically mean your character is out of a scene, but they’re not going to be able to continue to fight.

Bekah’s Gradient 011: Greys Anatomy Characters
So, there are eighteen gradients in total, all made by yours truly in the download. There are only four of them above (left-right: Alex Karev, Meredith Grey, Callie Torres, George O'Malley). I've tested them all out of various gifs and I believe that they'll work just fine, but you might need to adjust brightness and stuff on darker gifs. I'm pretty sure I'll make more gradients based off tv show characters, just like these in the future. By the way, all of my gradients work on pngs, so don't worry about that. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me. There's not a lot of rules, so please follow them. Expect more soon ok.

I apologize for any duplicates, but there really shouldn't be any. I take no credit for any of these gifs, and if you see one that is yours and you want it removed, please ask me! I'd be very thankful if you could give this a like/reblog, I really don't care if you're an rph or not. Enjoy, and stay gold!

Guide: How to Start Writing Long Responses
I have seen multiple instances of roleplayers wanting to lengthen their responses or those who are moving into a phase where they want to write more but aren't sure how. Not to say that any particular length of response is more appropriate, but longer replies can give roleplayers the opportunity to shape their characters on a more intimate level.
disclaimer: this guide is directed towards both independent and group roleplayers either starting literate RPs or already immersed in literate RPs. But hopefully the tips provided will help writers of any kind. These guidelines have been largely shaped by personal experience. Length of responses is no indicator of cardinal levels of worth- there is no “better” or “worse” when it comes to writing- it’s all just a matter of taste.
What are long responses?
