looking through the tag and apparently this is an unpopular opinion but: France was actually really good. A ballad, and the antithesis to what I want from eurovision, but also I listened to it during my walk and I had to stop because I was crying.

I’m very glad it didn’t win because it’d encourage more (and assuredly worse) ballads, but just this once? It was a good ballad, and we shouldn’t let our general hate of ballads blind us from that truth
