Guys…
Sasuke changed clothes and grabbed his sword between the explosion and seeing Naruto.
In his room there is no rope belt, cloth skirt, or sword in sight or pants for that matter. He probably had the sword nearby but he seems to be wearing a full length yukata with a simple obi. Then he changes into this.
I genuinely respect Kishimoto, but I will never understand how he created the Uchiha - a clan entirely defined by fundamental trauma, catastrophic loss, and the physiological manifestation of grief, and then completely sidelined women from its inner logic.
According to his own established lore, the Curse of Hatred and the Mangekyō Sharingan are direct biological responses to extreme trauma. It’s an in-universe survival mechanism for unbearable pain. So, are we seriously supposed to believe no Uchiha women lost their children, husbands, or siblings during the 3rd Shinobi War?
A mother's or widow's grief is so devastating that the shinobi world should have literally trembled at the sight of women awakening the Mangekyō. Where is their destruction? Because a "woman's heart" isn't just about soft, all-forgiving love - it's also vengeance, independence, and a feral need to defend your own pain and the memory of your dead.
Look at Mikoto. She got maybe 2.5 panels and was reduced to a "background housewife." Yet she birthed and raised two absolute prodigies who shattered the entire system. You don’t get that kind of intellect and discipline from nowhere.
In the end, she calmly offered her neck to her eldest son's katana. Her final maternal act was taking away his hesitation, giving him the absolution he needed to survive the night.
We were completely robbed of seeing this kind of potential.
I am in awe of this woman
Mikoto is the real ride or die
Like she could have tried to talk Itachi out of killing her for Sasuke’s sake or something. But she stayed with her husband and still reassured Itachi that his decision would never change how much she loved him. Also she never failed to reassure Sasuke of the love that (emotionally constipated) Fugaku had for him.
I stan a queen
Happy mother's day 💕
HE’S SO EXCITED TO SPEND TIME WITH SASUKE
At 9 he could make a gourmet meal….at 21 it takes him 94748494 attempts to make an egg………….
YOUR MAMA JUST WANTS TO HELP YOU OUT DAMMIT
