“ — Don’t worry about it.”
“You sure? Sounds important if you’re willing to take it out on a punching bag.”
@queenxvasilisa || liked for a starter . Katherine felt like she was being too kind for her own good, or maybe a little too nosy, just because she knew this girl wasn’t human. She grabbed a bottle of liquor from Matt when he wasn’t looking and approached the girl’s table with it in hand. “Long day?”
Long day didn’t begin to cover it. Her clan, mostly a band of 'peaceful’ vampires. Ones that only took blood from willing humans, people who didn’t have enough on their own, without her groups help. They provided for them, a form of trade. Until one went renegade, and now the whole clan was falling apart. And Lissa had retreated to a bar, and the woman before her wasn’t human. Perhaps she could take her mind off of things. “That’s putting it mildly. I’m hoping this makes it a little shorter,” she held up the drink. "How was your day? Vasilisa Dragomir, it’s a pleasure.”

She’d heard about him. Most of it was rumors, she assumed. St. Vlad’s was always full of rumors. But two things she believed: that his parents had turned, and that he was an Ivashkov. That much was obvious by his looks.
But he was different than the rest of the Moroi, and not only because of his training. He never seemed bothered by the whispers, or the society. Lissa respected that, and it intrigued her. Finally working up the confidence to approach, she pushed her hair out of her face, and took a deep breath. “Vasilisa Dragomir,” she held out her hand as she spoke. “Nice to meet someone who... isn’t with them,” her gaze left him, focusing on the people surrounding Mia Rinaldi and then back.

“I can explain these weak attempts with magick. Just... give me a minute,” Lissa said, not bothering to look up at her cousin in the doorway. “And maybe some water?”
“I need to punch the shit out of something.”
“Something wrong?”

Dear People I have Threads with;
Just because I start another thread with someone playing the same character as you, doesn’t mean that I hate you, I’m getting annoyed by you, or I’m bored with you; I’m most likely in a different scene, and nothing I send you both will be the same.
Just because I take a while to reply to you, but not others, doesn’t mean I’m ignoring you; My muse is picky, and I can only write what I’m drawn to. I want my replies to be well written and fun, not forced and horrible
Just because I shorten a reply doesn’t mean I’m bored with the thread; I’m probably tired, thinking of something else to continue with, or giving you the chance to set up our next situation.
Just because I drop a thread doesn’t mean I will never come back to start another; When I drop threads, I’m usually overwhelmed, without a muse for that particular piece, or bored with it, and I’ll ask to start another.
Don’t assume because I’m picky/tired/museless, I’m not happy with you.

“I meant to do that.. really, I did.” Mithian began, thankful that there had only been supernaturals around. She really didn’t fancy having to get someone to do a memory spell– they weren’t her strong suit. “Okay, I didn’t mean to but, you have to admit that was kind of cool.”
“Did you?” Lissa replied, an eyebrow raising, and a snicker escaping her. It wasn’t funny, she should be more in control... okay, maybe it was a little funny. “It is a little cool. It reminds me of air users,” she leaned against the wall as she spoke. “For a while, I thought I could be an air user. But I never could get the hang of it. You ever meet an air user? They can do some amazing stuff. Gotta say, though, the spells are almost more amazing. I never even knew this stuff existed ‘til recently.”
@legendarysaviors
There were so many people Lissa had yet to meet. It was accidental, with her presence torn between school and Moroi Court. This semester she vowed to be different, she vowed to split her attentions better. Perhaps it would even help her instate her new law (and help to keep her safe. Outside these walls, few Moroi knew where she disappeared to). It would give her insight to her dream, a world where supernatural and human lived alongside each other harmoniously. But how could she truly see both sides without knowing both sides? Without befriending both sides? And now that would change.
One person on the list was Bruce Wayne, and to her knowledge, which admittedly wasn’t very sound, he was oblivious to the Moroi world. Why he’d grabbed her attention was in his name alone. While she wasn’t the most status oriented person, it always did have a pull, and she missed the human world, and the time she’d spent in it with Rose. This was the closest she could get to it, through other people.
“Bruce,” she said with a grin, “I’m Vasilisa Dragomir, and it’s a pleasure to finally speak to you. My only excuse for not introducing myself is an incredibly busy schedule.”

Dalcrest Academy Starter Call!
cicerosxphilosophy:
{ Uneasiness sent waves of nausea through her system with each shaky breath. Golden eyes stayed lowered on her feet as Carly tried to walk to her dorm with minimal detection. She didn’t think she was ready to place a fake smile on her face, or hide the hopeless vacancy of her once inviting warm hues. The blonde wrapped her arms around her frame when the cold air seeped underneath her coat and sent a shiver up her spine. Oddly, the cold touch of winter’s grasp on her skin sent a rush of relief into her. Maybe she could still feel…As soon as the thought crossed her mind, the chill seeped into her heart and subsided. Once again, the flicker of hope died to make way for the hollowness within her chest. }
{ Suddenly, a pair of feet in front of her halted the blonde’s trajectory. Lifeless, dark hues glanced up at the face and tried to offer a weak, tentative smile. However, the simple act proved too much and her face remained impassive. }
At least she was going to get back in time for the morning’s classes. And then, likely, she’d have to go again. But she’d have some time, some time to pretend like she was a simple student. It wasn’t that she minded the attention, necessarily. After the accident, her families deaths, her return alongside Rose, and everything after, Lissa was used to the attention. It was more that this kept her grounded, kept her from letting the power, the rule, get to her head as it did Tatiana’s before her. She was not almighty, she was not impenetrable, she was a mortal parading change, parading a cause and a new world within an old one. But this was her escape, her one time to parade as something easy.
Lissa was on her way to her dorm, a room she had more as a formality than anything else when she heard someone else sneaking in. She gazed at the figure and recognition lit her features, Carly. And she was standing in front of her. Immediately, she smiled warmly at her. She’d noticed she hadn’ been attending classes on time.
“Carly, how are you? It’s nice to see you again.”
Despite Elena’s confused emotions about the new year, her expression appears confident and pleased. The other blonde had agreed to sit with her and had it been anyone else this may not have mattered. But that was the thing, they weren’t just anyone. Even after months of being away they’d both fallen back into their places as easily as breathing air. Elena was the Queen of the school, able to command some to gather information or spread whatever rumor was needed to advance her agenda and Lissa? Lissa was an actual Queen, the head of an entire community that Elena had somehow found herself mixed up in. This moment, gazed on by all those within the walls of the dining hall could be akin to a diplomatic meeting between heads of state in the eyes of Dalcrest’s social scene.
Sitting back down, Elena smiled, suddenly finding that as much as her social standing mattered, it hadn’t been the whole reason she’d asked Lissa to join her. “Truth be told, I was counting down the days. It can get kind of boring being in a small town after living in a place like this.” Still, there were parts about being back she wasn’t looking forward to as well. It felt strange that while most of the students both supernatural and not remained in the dark, there were others that now knew exactly what she was and the history that came with it.
Lissa smiled at her reply. She knew of Elena, of course, could see her coming a mile away (mostly in part to the heads that turned whenever she was headed towards her. Elena sincerely did have an air about her that captured attention, not unlike herself, she supposed). Still, there was a difference between knowing someone and knowing of someone. She’d heard the rumors, Elena was a golden girl, everyone adored her, despite her edges. Idly, she wondered what the rumors about her were. She was Queen of a world within their own. What did people make of that? But it didn’t matter, not now. For now, it was nice to sit across from someone different, from someone who didn’t guard themselves because of her status. And it made the golden girl of Dalcrest seem real, as real as herself.
“As was I,” Lissa replied, more candid than she was with most. Elena brought that out in her, she saw something in her that was... familiar. “It’s a nice escape,” she added after a moment with a shrug. “Not that I want to escape... but it’s just nice.” And she felt the need to explain herself, why she wasn’t entirely satisfied when she had it all from the outside looking in.

“Dragomir, do you have a minute? It’s important.” Truth be told the leader of the Vitale Society and Elder’s Council member hadn’t said more than a few words to the Moroi Queen in the semester she’d known her. Sure she had observed her, worked to determine if she’d be a threat to the society’s plans, and sure she had had more than one unpleasant encounter with Rose Hathaway but this was the first time she was directly approaching Lissa. It wasn’t that strange, given she was a different year but it mattered not. This wasn’t a social call, per say.
“Sorry, am I supposed to address you as Queen or something?” The girl wasn’t her Queen even if she was one to the Moroi and the situation that brought her to the girl already had her in a bad mood given it being the first week back at school, but, she supposed even if the Moroi presented complications with the way the town was run– throwing jurisdiction into a gray area– she should be respectful.
Her last name was what caught her attention, and she turned towards the voice, a little wary. Things starting off like this, with a somewhat professional, serious, edge never ended well. Even if this wasn’t Court, people with problem’s seemed to need her, and she was happy to oblige, but time was hardly something she had much of. Problems always took time. Still, a smile crossed her face, her usual friendly and welcoming persona taking place of her doubts. The woman who stood before her, Mithian, surprised her however. They’d barely spoken, and she hardly struck Lissa as someone who needed the help. “Of course, Mithian. What can I do for you?”
A chuckle escaped her lips at the question, one eyebrow raising. It was innocent, but it was still somehow amusing, like a breath of fresh air. Since she began her rule, people were always walking on eggshells with her, worried about offending the Moroi Queen. This was honest, and she didn’t seem nervous around her. It was nice. “I’m not your Queen,” she replied, tilting her head. “There’s no need to address me as such. Honestly, I’d rather you didn’t.” It gave her some sense of normal.

It’s the first day back and the atmosphere screams of normalcy to the point it almost makes one question it. It was true that most were actively putting the past where it belonged, seeing this new semester as a fresh starter, yet, something felt off about it. Maybe it was just Elena, the fact that Meredith hadn’t returned and well, just how different things felt now, putting her on edge. In either case, Elena was drawn out of her internal muses when those at her table grew distracted by who had entered the dining hall.
Ah, the Moroi Queen and Ivashkov’s friend if she wasn’t mistaken– which, given her minions level of research last semester wasn’t possible. There’s a moment of motion, a few hand waves as her table suddenly clears out and Elena stands, motioning to get her attention. “Lissa, want to sit with me today?” It wasn’t lost on Elena that half the room was staring.
The school closing had given her time to rest. Well, more rest than she’d gotten in months, and with the help of foundation, the dark circles under her eyes almost looked as faint as her fellow Moroi’s, and thank God for it. Any sign of weakness... She didn’t want to go there right now, couldn’t. The show was on, her alter ego coming out. There was Queen Vasilisa Dragomir, and there was Lissa Dragomir, where her title was but a whisper. Most of he time.
For months, she’d tried to fly under the radar, avoid the politics of the place, but that could only last so long. People would always look at her, sometimes talk to her, and she expected no different. But now, people were getting used to her roaming the hallways, and disappearing when necessary. Someone had even asked where she was. She’d answered, almost appreciated their concern, but things were changing. She was becoming a real person to them.
As she walked between the tables, she saw Elena motioning for her. A smile crossed her face as she approached, elegant as always, and an effortless warmth immediately took over. Her natural charm. At the blonde’s question, her eyes flitted to her Guardian, who motioned that it would be allowed. “Elena, I’d love to,” she replied with a nod, and took a seat beside her. “So how happy are you to be back to classes?”
