Jocelyn Wabano-Iahtail shuts down disrespectful white journalists over a question asking if Justin Trudeau is responsible for Missing Indigenous Teens in Northern Ontario.

Indigenous women call reporter ‘white lady,’ demand she leave press conference

I think that we’re under this constant pressure to achieve success in our twenties because, as women, our youth is seen as our prime but there are so many women who go on to do great things later in life like Ava DuVernay didn’t pick up a camera until she was 33 and now she’s in her 40s and her career is just beginning her next feature film has a budget of over $100 million
Robin Wright’s most iconic roles
General Antiope (Wonder Woman, 2017) Claire Underwood (House of Cards, 2013 -) Jenny Curran (Forrest Gump, 1994) Buttercup (The Princess Bride, 1987)
I feel like Robin Wright sort of disappeared for awhile and then re-emerged, triumphant, to have one of the most quietly amazing woman-over-40 careers ever.
Did you mean “fell into the soul-sucking, black-hole maw that is a relationship with Serial Abuser Sean Penn from the mid-‘90s to the late-2000’s, but finally clawed her way out of that and got her life back from the soul-sucking, black-hole maw that is Being Anywhere Near Serial Abuser Sean Penn?” Because that is what I feel like you meant.
You know, I had actually forgotten that she was married to that dickhole, her awesomeness since has eclipsed it. But yes, that is absolutely what I meant.
Guys, this is season ONE of the Simpsons.
women are socialized to be so accommodating of others and you don’t even realize it until you’re already in the middle of some elaborate favor for someone and you’re wondering what the fuck you’re even doing

I hope you all like your official animals. I know there isn’t one for everyone. Please feel free to nominate your own.
a very short star wars meta
in the first movie, when leia got rescued, she was expecting some kind of actual military operatives with things like a plan and an exit strategy and a working vehicle. this is why she was so salty about instead being rescued by basically the duke brothers and an angry carpet in a past-warranty space winnebago.
like when the bad guys capture a diplomat you’re supposed to send mission impossible, not cheech & chong
Leia wanted a full D&D party, and what she got was a Rogue with no Bluff, a wizard who left his spell sheet at home, and a barbarian who made charisma his highest score.

Raise a Paddle: a journey from the Pacific Islands to the tar sands
In May 2017, a group of Pacific Islanders travelled half way across the world to visit the Canadian tar sands. Justin Trudeau’s recently approved pipelines will unleash catastrophic climate change — for Pacific islanders this means rising sea levels threatening their homes, communities, and cultures. The Pacific Climate Warriors embarked on this journey in order to bear witness to the project responsible for unleashing destruction on their homelands. Along the way, they built solidarity with Indigenous Peoples in Canada whose traditional territories are threatened by tar sands.

One thing I like about Pixar films is how the happy ending isn’t always what you think it’ll be. The toys don’t go with Andy to college, Gusteau’s restaurant gets closed down, Mike and Sully get kicked out of university, Carl never gets Ellie to Paradise Falls. But they find out that what they wanted isn’t necessarily what they needed, and I really like the fact that kids get to learn that life doesn’t always turn out the way they dreamed and that’s okay.
In light of Pride month, I would like to give a big ol FUCK YOU to straight couples who use dating sites to pick up bi women for their ugly sexual fantasies.
