Luna cocked an eyebrow at the man in front of him, half wanting to praise him for his forwardness and the other half wanting to slap him. “You’re fairly cocksure, aren’t you? Use that line on a lot of ladies?”

“I may be biased, but I can assure you that my club is far more fun than your computer. We have more alcohol.”

he held a laugh for as long as he could, but luna’s expression brought it out of him. “depends on either or not you’d fall for it? -- not often, only with beautiful women.” he shrugged. “i suppose we have different definitions of fun. clubs are terrifying, way too many people for amount of space. a little claustrophobic, if you ask me. i’m more of a stay-at-home, watching game of thrones and chillax-ing type of guy.”

“— you’re weird,” the first year resident shot back. it was safe to say that the blonde couldn’t insult someone to SAVE HERSELF, but at least she tried… kind of. “thank – thank you,” her usually light cherry cheeks growing darker with every passing second in response to his words. “do you want – do you want another coffee? or food? we could get food? we should CATCH UP because i’ve missed you and uh… yeah,” she nodded at her own words.

“no, i’m weird by association. really, if you think about it, it’s all your fault.” he retorted as a smirk slowly spread across his face. “any time.” his lips stretched farther, curling back and revealing his teeth into a genuine smile. “uh, i already got coffee.” he mumbled, cocking his head to the side and lifting the plastic cup half-filled with cold coffee. “---sure, sure. you know what? let’s just get some food. food is great.” he looked around for a few seconds, tossing the half-filled plastic cup into the nearest trash can. “so, you missed me, huh? tell me more about it.”

“Do I know you?” It was likely she did, possibly. There was a constant stream of faces in Galaxy. “Have you been to my club?”

“well, you look exactly like my next girlfriend, so we should know each other, right?” he joked. “i know i look sociable and the kind of guy who has a lot of friends, but no, sorry to disappoint. clubs aren’t really my thing, i usually spend my nights in front of my computer.”

“you – I LIKE YOU. thank you, though. that made my day,” carmen smiled. “oh, i know. tell me about it.” without waiting for an invite, the surgeon sat down in the empty seat beside him and glanced around. “who are we looking at?”

“thank you, i like you too. is this the part i ask if you want to be my girlfriend?” he joked. “a girl. she wears glasses and stands all awkwardly as she waits for her coffee, i just thought it was cute.”

Adjusting the glasses that were almost falling off her face to the correct position on the bridge of her nose, Gale looked up at the man speaking to her. “You’ve either mistaken me for someone you actually know or you’ve DREAMT about me,” she responded the stranger in a direct manner, noticing how much younger than her he probably was. “And I’m really hoping in the first option because she second is a tad bit creepy, sir.” Gale wasn’t at all pissed at the situation — she could be quite the flirty one sometimes — but she couldn’t pretend not to be a little weirded out by it. However, she played it cool.

quentin furrowed his eyebrows as the woman went on, scratching the back of his neck as he stood awkwardly. in fact, she wasn’t someone he knew, she was a completely stranger who happened to look like someone whom he was friends with. “--- turns out, i was wrong all along. i don’t know that hair, my bad.” he apologized. “well, i’ve dreamed about this friend i’ve mistaken you for, so who am i trying to fool? maybe i was dreaming about you.” he joked.

“is this how you greet everybody?” she laughs, fiddling with the stirrer in her coffee mug. “you should sit, though. i’m a confident person and everything, but i’ve been here for almost an hour all by myself and i think the baristas are starting to JUDGE me.”

“nah, only hot girls who intimidate me.” he jokes, but does as commanded, sitting beside her. “wow. almost an hour? what happened, did you get stood you up? who am i supposed to give an atomic wedgie to make you feel better?”

“i’m not trying to get into your pants if that’s what you’re implying, torres. i was just saying, your hair doesn’t look so bad today. did you wash it? maybe that’s it! -- fine, but you’ll have to buy me another coffee.”

“i wouldn’t stare, that’s just – i wouldn’t. i DON’T make things weird… do i?” she wrinkled her nose up as she thought it over before turning to face him. she couldn’t help but laugh at his description of her hair colour. “it is. i think it was brown the last time we saw each other? i figured a CHANGE could be fun so THANK YOU for noticing.”

“trust me, it’d be weird.” he insisted as he brought a hand to scratch the back of his neck, chuckling lightly at her wrinkled nose. “it was, yeah, it was definitely darker. you look beautiful, though. this change suits you.”

“you have beautiful hair, so. -- i guess we do. while this isn’t my favorite cafe in seattle, they certainly have some attractive customers. worth it.”

“who – oh, me? i knew that… hi! who were you checking out?” lennox glanced around, eager eyes CURIOUSLY seeking a face to answer her own question before looking back at him. “that’s a first, though - being recognised by MY HAIR, i mean. is it really that bad?”

“i can’t tell you, len. you’d stare at her and it’d get weird.” quentin responded as a hand held lennox by her shoulder, shifting their position so she would stop to search for the woman he had been checking out which was lennox all along. “uh -- it’s very blonde-ish.”
