Ziva, trust, and body language
Ok can we talk about these gifs for a minute?
We all know that Ziva is always very aware of her body in space, and the bodies of people around her. She will get into somebody else's personal space, no problem, and she will very much stop people from getting into hers unless she wants them there. I have no doubt that, unless restrained, she could pretty much tackle anybody to the ground from any position. That's her training. Know where people are. Know what move to make. I mean, think about that moment in Under Covers where she wakes, shoves a gun in "Jean-Paul's" neck, then rolls over and goes back to sleep.
So can we talk about how that training, that awareness, is just not activated around Tony these days?

1: Her arm hanging loosely around his neck. Definitely, if unconsciously, the most vulnerable position to be in; the most useless for pushing somebody away.
2: His complete control of her neck. Her arms are by her side and her hands are on his thighs. And you can tell it's just not even occurring to her, where her limbs are, except whether she's close enough to him.
3: The way he pushes his hand into her hair and guides her face to his chest and tucks his chin over her head. And her response? To wrap her arms around his waist and close her eyes and settle in. If Tony had tried this sort of thing when they first met, it would've ended with him on the ground and her knee on his throat.
Trust can be a cognitive thing about the past and telling each other things and such. But it's also very much physical and visceral, perhaps even more so for Ziva because of how often she has relied on her body for fighting and not-trusting.
And she definitely has that visceral, physical trust in him.
