I did end up deciding to split it up, and I'm glad I did. If I had to fix formatting for another 10-15k I think I would have died.

I really should work on my habit of disappearing whenever I feel ashamed about my fic progress. It's been over 7 months!

But, I'm almost done with Guide Me Home ... Im just trying to decide if I post a 100 page/30.5k word chapter or to split it 🤔

Mostly because if I split it, it would be like 60%/40% split, and then the epilogue would probably get combined with the second half.

But also I feel like everyone has waited so long 😭

I finally did it! I ended up deciding to split the next 2 chapters into two parts, since chapter 6 is a monster. Quite heavy on the Mulian and Fengqing/ Xianle Trio side of things in this one, compared to other chapters, but, then again, Hua Cheng currently doesn't have thumbs or the ability to speak, so.

Oh God I think this chapter broke me. I think I'm just gonna have to post a 20k chapter (my chapters, I'm realizing, are better described as arcs) and literally label it Part 1 and finish the rest of it later because I'm realizing I think it's gonna need a total of 40k for the whole thing for me to be satisfied with it narratively
