It's interesting that when Deb gets asked about Karen and how they changed her from the comics, she brings up Frank and talks about the Kastle dynamic.

Then, when Jon is talking about Frank and taking on his character, he brings up Karen and the Kastle dynamic.

It's almost like Kastle is fundamental to both Karen and Frank.

My dear people, the claim that Deborah said on the Florida con's panel that "she’s excited/happy to take karen and frank to another level" IS NOT TRUE.

As someone terminally delusional (just kidding, I'm not), I have no doubts taking Kastle to another level is truly happening, but she didn't say that. Please, don't copy the opposing side that likes twisting the cast's words to suit their agenda. Don't be misled♥️

"I knew it sort of tangentially. But when we did it, and I started to read and go more deeply and do the research, [*beginning of the video*] I was excited about the idea of taking these characters on the next leg of their journey, right? Like doing new stuff with them. So I think about something like, you know, Frank Castle and Karen Page never met in the comic books, and the fact that... - [to Charlie] yeah, never! - So like that is all ours, right? Like that's part of our iteration of this story, which is just really special to find those pieces."

I know the Punisher is a complex character and you don’t fully agree with his methods and all that is fully intended yada yada yada, but they got me completely on board with him when he was buying that radio from the criminal pawn shop owner guy and the guy was trying to get him to buy more stuff and offered him child p*rn and Frank flipped the closed sign, turned around, walked back in, and killed him with a baseball bat.

Maybe that wasn’t supposed to be the effect that scene had, but it did. And they secured that spot in my heart when they had him immediately tell the gang leader what he wanted to know when they stopped torturing him and threatened to torture the dog he’d taken in. And this was before they even gave his whole tragic backstory part.

I mean just look at this guy, he loves dogs and his wife and he kills pdf files, what’s not to love.

What if I say that Mattelektra endgame has always been the goal of DD's tv story? Regardless. Kastle endgame is its by-product, that is happening just because JB and maybe some of the Marvel's execs want so. Otherwise, Karen would be just killed off.

The lovebirds scene has been haunting me since I watched the episode and knowing that it foreshadows the elevator moment makes me appreciate it all the more. So beautiful and tragic at the same time.

Karen fell first for Matt, but she fell harder for Frank.

I know many people don't think Kastle's going to happen, but I don't see why the writers would keep flirting with the idea if there wasn't a chance of them being endgame. They didn't have to make it canon that Karen and Frank love each other, but chose to do so in DDBA s1. They could have just had Karen reject Frank's offer of coffee and closed the door on Kastle right then and there, but instead, they chose to have the whole heartbeats conversation a few scenes later.

They didn't have to include all the parallels between Karen and Frank in DDBA s2, but chose to do so for the "Karen is turning into Frank" character arc.

They didn't need to include Karen in OLK and instead could have had that scene between Frank and Maria, yet they chose for that pivotal scene to be between Frank and Karen. They chose Karen to be the one to pull Frank out of his darkness. They chose Karen to be the one to set Frank up for what he needed to do next and who he needed to become. They chose to show that Frank has romantic feelings for Karen and that he's in love with her.

Considering Frank never moves on from Maria in the comics, I don't see why they would have him move on in the TV show to not make Kastle happen. It doesn't make any sense. Sure, Frank not moving on from Maria is a defining aspect of his character in the comics, but so is Karen being dead a defining aspect of her character, yet the writers chose not to go that route in DD s3. Frank and Karen don't even interact in the comics, yet they're frequently together in DD s2, The Punisher s1, The Punisher s2, DDBA s1, and The Punisher: OLK. They can clearly change things around as they see fit, which is what they seem to be doing with both Frank and Karen's characters.

Putting Kastle together to kill off Karen also doesn't make sense because what would it serve? To further break Frank? He's already broken from his family's murders. He doesn't need to be further broken to serve any meaningful plot points. And saying that Karen's death would break Frank is just proving that he's moved on from Maria and is in love with Karen, otherwise, her death wouldn't impact him the same as Maria's.

Now I'm not saying that Kastle will be endgame; I'm simply saying that people shouldn't shut it down as easily as they do just because it's not a ship from the comics.
