@quicksteppers
The team have declared, in Paris! After a tough day of trying to hitch a lift south, they have decided to make the most of France's capital.
As for travel plans homeward bound, they will be getting a coach back tonight.
Well done James & Lucy, fantastic effort, massively proud of both of you!

The team are trying to get a lift out of Paris, heading south. Fingers crossed for a lift soon!

End of day 2: Staying the night in Paris
After a long day of hitching, James and Lucy have arrived in Paris!
After the 200km journey, after dropping off one of the passengers, they realized that a cat was in the car for the entire time! Hopefully it didn't have control of the steering...
Their driver Pierre has a flat in Porte D'Italie that he lets people from all over the world borrow, which is where the team are staying to get some rest before heading out for an early morning hitch.
They're in a great position to continue heading south, for the final day of Escape and Evade 2014!
Here's a picture of a cat driving a car.
To Paris!
The team have a lift to Paris! Having been picked up just past Boulogne-sur-Mer, they now have almost a 3hr journey to Paris, and should arrive at around 10pm.
They're catching up with the pack, and there's a decent chance of catching a good lift from Paris! Well done team!
On the road again
In a stroke of luck, Quicksteppers are back on the road, still heading south on the A16. Still awaiting confirmation as to how far down they are going.
18:00 Update
The team managed to get a lift from Calais to Boulogne, and are now eagerly awaiting their next lift to take them further south. Fingers crossed for something soon!
Day 2: A lift from Calais to Dover!
After waiting for over 20 hours in Dover for that all important lift across the channel, Quicksteppers are finally back on their way, headed for Calais on the 12:15pm ferry!
Next stop Calais!
Map of the first day's journey
Still In Dover!
Quicksteppers are spending the night in the Port of Dover information room, to get some rest and hit the ground running tomorrow!
It's still all to play for, and one good lift tomorrow could put the team back at the front of the pack!
But until then...
Update: 14:45
Quicksteppers are now in Dover! They're now waiting for someone to give them a lift across to Calais.
They may have to wait for a while, but once they get into France, they have the whole of Europe in front of them!
Progress so far: the team have just joined the M20, and are still heading for Dover, should be there by 2pm. Then they just need to hitch a lift across the channel over to Calais!
Travel Update: To Stansted Airport
Travel Update: The team are now headed for Stansted Airport, thanks to a driver named Manuel!
Are you a pilot? Do you fly from Stansted? Want to do your bit for charity? Why not fly the Quicksteppers for free?
Tweet @quicksteppers to get in touch!
Service Stop at Corley (M6)
The team have arrived at Corley Services (M6), and are now looking for a lift south from a truck driver. If you're reading this blog and know/are a generous lorry driver, tweet @quicksteppers and let us know!
On the road again!
