Hi guys! so I haven’t seen anyone post about these yet and I’m actually wondering if anyone else has seen them, but I think it’s kind of interesting! I found 4 shrines to the lost spirits of the wild all shrouded in black and blue smoke!

Wolverine (pretty sure because this doesn’t look like a bear) in the aberrant forest

Eagle, in one of the Svanir camps. this ain’t a raven.

And Ox/Dolyak, I’ve actually found 2 of these but only 1 of the other two which I find kind of weird. One of them is in the Southern Mountains and the other is next to a mastery point up north a bit.

anyways! just thought this was interesting. if anyone else finds one not in any of these locations please let me know because I think it’s fascinating 👀

and if anyone finds an Owl shrine I’d love to see it

ok NO IDEA how much of this is true bc i’m going off memory but are these the spirits of the wild that died / got lost / whatever happened to them when jormag awakened and forced the norn to fight their corruption? I believe there were some who tried to fight back against jormag so others could escape. Owl died but I don’t think we know for certain (in canon lore) what happened to the others?

On top of that @phnx-rosemary pointed out to us that the icons for the essences also look like they are supposed to be spirits : wolverine / ox / owl (eagle?) if my memory is right ?

ALRIGHT GUYS I READ UP ON THIS A FEW DAYS AGO;

According to the Wiki, Wolverine, Ox, and Eagle haven’t been heard from in generations. So they Could be dead, but are deemed missing. Owl however, was confirmed dead by her Havroun at the time!

There’s a shrine area in Hoelbrak to Wolverine, Ox, and Owl. And a nearby child norn NPC who will tell (at least a norn pc) “if you find them, bring them home.” :D Interestingly enough, Wolverine’s shrine, when you interact with it, you can ‘Remember Wolverine’s Valor.’ I believe it says!
