"Unfortunately my English is only so good," He said after a moment of looking over the hint and what was already there, quickly coming to the conclusion that his vocabulary simply wasn't big enough, being almost entirely just words he would hear in daily conversation, "Sorry."

Her latest OR lasted longer than expected. Aura sighed as her stomach growled, her alarm didn’t work so she woke up late and with walking her dog she didn’t have time to eat breakfast. Fellow surgeons heard her stomach during the operation and they made fun of the youngest of the team. With a few spare minutes, she went to the nearest bar to order something. Standing in front of the menu she was loudly considering her options. “Pizza Pepperoni or maybe Hawaiian?”

Manon was coming from a busy day without having enough to eat herself as well, long since having gotten used to the fact that sith a job that involved so much daily exercise food breaks meant either extended breaks or none at all and on days where they had a great deal to get through and little flexibility that usually meant closer to none. A bar was perhaps not the best place to stop after a day like that but it was nearby and she was in a mood so that's where she ended up, sitting at the bar with a drink while waiting for her own order to be done, looking over as she heard someone beside her speak.

"Well, I'm always going to say pepperoni between those options, so."

Even the smell of coffee just out of the espresso machine wouldn’t help him be any less stressed than in the last few days. He was there, sitting at the table at the café, moving his fingers across his iPad trying to check on some old videos from previous auditions. He kept muttering to himself for the last ten minutes, and probably was making the people around him nervous because of his constant tapping on the table and somewhat nonsense in his mother language.

—It just doesn’t feel right yet. I have to find a new face… Porca miseria. 

Massi just turned around to the person in the next table. It was like a shot in the dark but he had to try. After all, it was pretty much impossible for anyone to refuse his offer. He just stared directly into this person’s eyes and tried to clean off the italian accent just to not sound so desperate.

—Hello? Hi, I’m Massimiliano Lorenzetti, film producer. I know this may sound weird but… Would you consider auditioning for a small but really crucial role on a short film?

James hadn't really been paying attention to the other's in the cafe, or at least he was trying not to, rather focusing on his work on his laptop. Usually he did his work at the kitchen table, small apartment leaving no real spot to put an office of any real sort, but that day he had felt like something a bit more than he really had the patience to make on his own having just woken up so out with his laptop he had gone.

Really though, despite his efforts, it was difficult to completely shut out all that was going on around him when he was so used to quiet, even before someone near him addressed him directly.

"I, uh..." He blinked, making no effort to hide his own similar accent, long since having accepted it would simply always be there no matter what he did, "I don't really have any acting experience or anything."

I’m sorry I haven’t really been around much lately and haven’t gotten to any starters or replies, I’m on my laptop now so I’m going to try to do something but I’m starting to think that a bad night a few weeks ago might have triggered a depressive episode or something, I don’t really know, so I’m probably going to put in an absence for a bit while I figure everything out. I won’t really be gone but I’ll need to not have issues with activity and all that for a bit.

Elisheva hadn’t really thought about the fact that she hadn’t responded to Odessa in a little bit until that moment. It wasn’t unusual for her not to reply to texts for days at a time, it wasn’t even really unusual for her to ghost people, though that tended not to include family members, in this case she had simply gotten distracted and then with no notification to remind her replying had entirely slipped her mind.

“Oh, shit, yeah, sorry about that…” She said sheepishly before moving out of the way of the entrance to let her through, “Yeah, yeah, come on up.”

Odessa smiled, though her brow furrowed a little as she stepped through the doorway; she didn’t want to scare Eli off and ask her outright if everything was fine, but she couldn’t help but worry about her cousin. “It’s alright– it happens,” Odessa murmured, looking around, trying to see if she could find something that would explain her cousin’s lack of communication lately. She knew she could disappear sometimes, but it wasn’t normal for them, usually. “How was work? Been busy?” She shoved off her sweater and threw it on the couch, setting her purse beside it.

Elisheva lead her cousin up the stairs to her actual apartment, unsure of what really to say, mostly just tired enough that her brain didn't really want to work properly, glad when Odessa asked a question that she could answer.

"Eh, you know, work." She shrugged, reaching with the flexibility of someone who did it regularly behind her back and under her shirt to unclasp her bra before pulling off the straps and with a single motion fully freeing herself of the garment through the sleeve of her shirt, tossing it to the side and letting it lay where it fell, "Kind of, someone just quit and I ended up the one covering most of her usual shifts till someone new's hired, so, that's been fun."

Elisheva enjoyed starting work late, really anything that kept her from being up before 11am she was more than okay with, but then of course that always meant her arriving back home about 8 or 9pm and she was never really sure which she preferred more, getting to sleep in a little more than usual or not having to stay out working late. That night she very much preferred the latter though.

She had spent the past four hours or so wanting to work on a new song, to the extent even nearing the end of her shift that she wasn’t really actually focusing on her work, making her lucky that no one had really come in needing any help. Then, of course, she had gotten home and basically immediately she had collapsed face first into her couch, barely actually pulling herself up when she heard the bell, pulling her hair up into a haphazard bun on the top of her head as she walked, smiling brightly as she got to the front door and saw her cousin there.

“Hey! What’s up?”

She rang the doorbell and gave a quick knock against the door, waiting for Elisheva to answer. When the door was finally pulled open. Odessa looked her over quickly before smiling. “Hey you,” she replied. “I haven’t heard from you in a while– can I come in?”
