“Q, there are going to be so many people at the park by the time we get there at this rate,” Sam said his eyes slightly wide. Normally, he was the chill parent but it was already late and it felt like Disney land was going to feel like some sort of hell with wall-to-wall people. But in the same sense he didn’t want to rush their girls. This was about them having fun in the magical place on Earth, after all.
At Quinn’s comment Sam laughed and shook his head. “Mickey Mouse ears are not going to fly with Aria. Have you met our daughter?” he questioned about their eldest. “Listen, we are lucky to have escaped her make-up frenzy.” If she had had it her way Quinn and Sam too would probably be dressing up. And as much as Sam didn’t mind dressing up and costumes this was much better in his mind.
“No, no, no. I believe it was you who had wanted girls,” he teased back. “Three boys would have been my dream,” Sam joked. To be honest, Sam loved his girls to pieces and would want their family to be any other way. “Aria! Hurry up, this is your five minute warning or I’m coming in there,” Sam said with a grin outside the door because he wasn’t angry he did just want to move things along. “Who do you think they are dressed as?” he asked Quinn softly.
She shrugged her shoulders. “Don’t tell me that, tell the girls that.” Quinn countered because the pair of them had been long ready and waiting on the laughing girls in the bathroom to hurry up and finish. It was likely their middle child creating the hold up as Cadence was not one typically for dressing up, make-up, and anything deemed girly. Still Quinn was happy they had taken the time out from all their busy schedules to have their family time together.
Quinn had to laugh. “Well, I think it’s more down to the luck that she was able to rope her sisters into doing it with her.” Halloween was one time they all dressed up but this time Quinn did not want to go all out and dress up. It was not overly hot out but it was warm enough where she didn’t want to walk around in a costume. “Besides, we both know I am not a princess, I am the Queen.” Quinn joked with a laugh.
“Well, technically...” Who was Quinn kidding it had been her that wanted a girl the first time around, the second time two, and with Lyra she had been content to have it either way. “I suppose one of each would have been nice too.” She loved her girls to pieces and this was their family, but sometimes she did wonder what it would be like to have a little boy thrown in the midst. “I mean I always did love Caleb for a boy’s name.” She added with a shrug. From time to time she thought of having one more baby, but it always a shot in the dark on how complicated it would be and they already had three children to take care of.
As for what their girls would be dressed as Quinn could take a guess or two. “Well, I wouldn’t surprised to see a Belle and an Elsa walk out the door.” As for Cadence she hadn’t quite decided what she would want to be dressed as.
