Social Media Migration

I’m becoming more privacy conscious. With that in mind, I’m leaving traditional social media and replacing it with ones that don’t spy on me as much. I never had big followings anyway so there’s no point for me to be on large aggregate sites. 

I am leaving twitter, tumblr, and instragram, and replacing them with mastodon, pillowfort, ello, and artfol. Feel free to join me on one of those platforms, or if you’re already on one, follow me! contact me with the person or character you would like me to paint as a mermaid. this can be an original character, fanart of a character from media, yourself, or someone else

i will be taking payment up front. because of the heavily discounted nature of these commissions and the volume i usually take on, i retain a lot of creative freedom over these, and there will be no revisions or sketch approval. (of course, if i mess something major up, let me know and i will fix it) payment can be paypal or venmo.

pieces will be done first come first serve, these tend to have a quick turnaround time but i promise nothing except that they will be done by the end of the month.

Hey universalists

Haven’t checked in with heathen tumblr in years. Have we all decided to stop just disavowing white supremacists and start taking responsibility for the bullshit that we allow in our community that gives them room to thrive? 

Like it’s good to make it clear you don’t agree with them, but I remember how much everyone just wanted to pretend that they weren’t a “real” part of our faith when unfortunately they are.

A quick search in the tags is showing me that a lot of good people are converting to other pagan faiths right now, but I don’t want to do that. 

I just feel alone. It’s easy to feel like you’re the only progressive heathen and that everyone else is a wolf in sheep’s clothing

Scorched - After the Burn — Quinn Silver

A card based adventure for 2-8 players. Print and Play for $7 USD

I made a print-and-play game! 

This card game can be played with a couple standard 52 card decks. Players gain objectives in the form of Quest Cards that they complete while traveling a post-apocalyptic wasteland defined by fire. Set in the ruins of a modern-meets-fantasy world, players will find themselves being compelled by magic and spirits, while also facing the harsh realities of the aftermath of widespread fire. 

This game was heavily inspired by the wildfires near my home in the summer of 2020. Whole sections of forest were charred and levelled, photos of burning forest taken by those fleeing the flames haunted me, and ash fell all over my town and even got into our water supply. Scorched - After the Burn takes something serious and transforms it into a fantastical world that we can’t wait to explore, coping with fear and collective trauma through imagination. 

This game was a one-person project, including all of the artwork that is included with your purchase. There are more than 30 pieces of original art included as card art for the game.

When you buy Scorched, you will get high quality, full color files as well as black and white ones that will be kinder to your printer.

Enlightenment - a quest from Scorched. This post apolalcyptic, card based adventure is coming to itchio January 25th! All you need is a friend, a couple packs of cards, a pencil and paper. Scorched is a game for 2-8 players and features original artwork by myself. It was inspired partially by the wildfires that came very near my home in the summer of 2020.

The game will be available for $7, and includes the instruction book and card art in both full color and printer friendly versions. Players will need to supply their own decks of playing cards for modification.
