“Technically it is. You got a word out of the tiles I gave you and you’ve been picking them out of the bag yourself ever since.” she pointed out. “I’m bored can we do something else?”

“That doesn’t count., Its not like I’ve been inspecting each tile before I pull them out....unless you’re suggesting I cheat? He asked playfully. “Sure,” he shrugged, happy to escape the dead end he was about to face on the game board. “What do you feel like doing?

“Yeah no problem. As mean as I am I couldn’t just let you linger alone in the hallway.” He smiled faintly. Quinn  tallied up her score then glanced at his tiles. “Can I pass, I  have absolutely nothing to work with here.” He said, scrunching up his nose in thought.

“I appreciate it.” She nodded. “And you said you were going to beat me. Who’s winning now.” She teased and nudged his arm playfully. “But yes, you’re allowed to pick up a tile as a turn.”

 “Thanks, for letting me hangout here a while..” She thanked him as she looked over her tiles. She was surprised he was being so nice to her. All they ever did was argue, even the last couple of times they…well, you know. Once she found a good word, she laid her tiles correspondingly on the board.

Quinn ever so childishly stuck his tongue out. Secretly, he wasn’t really putting any real effort into the game, he hadn’t planned to go easy but seeing her distracted from what was making her sad felt oddly satisfying. Undead he spelled.

Kailee chuckled. Usually she could get pretty competitive but she didn’t really care right now honestly. She was just having fun teasing him. She took a moment while he was looking at her to peck his lips before taking her turn. She didn’t think about what she did and it never did occur to her.

Quinn was slightly taken by surprise. He wasn't used to small gestures of affection from anyone let alone kailee...at least not since...Quinn.brushed the thought from his mind and studied her facial features. It came so easily for ger that he.doubted she realized what had happened...causing him to debate.wether or not.to say something or leave it. "It uh...your turn."

“Twelve plus the double word count so twenty-four. Could be better.” She winked, jokingly. Kailee looked over her letters and picked up three, using Quinn’s O to spell out ‘foxy’ to add seventeen points to her score.

“In your dreams, buddy.” she nudged him lightly before looking at her tiles to see what she could play. She spelled out the word ‘crazy and placed them on the board, starting on the star tile. “To start off the game, 38 points for me.’ she smirked before picking out five more tiles.

Quinn closed the drawer and ducked into the kitchen, pulling out various snacks then rejoining her in the living room. “I got hungry” he offered without a prompt amd sat by her. “Lets do this”

Kailee took the game back to the couch and got it out and ready while Quinn was doing whatever he was doing. She chuckled when he came back with food. “Alrighty, get ready for your ass to get beaten.”

“I love board games too. Oh my god, it’s been so long since I’ve played life.” She followed the boy over to the drawer to look at what other games he had. “Uhm… Let’s go with scrabble.”
