i still think of michael with gray wings sometimes. the prototype angel having wings that look like a mix of god and the darkness because that's all god knew back then. and then lucifer was created brighter than anything anybody had ever seen, the closest thing to god any angel was ever going to get with how bright he was, and all the angels made afterwards were modeled after him, not michael. michael was made to be loyal and to be a soldier he wasn't made in vanity he was the spark that started the vanity. he was the one god looked at and went yeah that's okay i guess but i could make something so much better and brighter. and then lucifer was created
and to throw some midam into this i think it would be fun if adam told michael his wings looked cool. i don't think adam is the type to call them beautiful or pretty or anything like that i think he'd just say that they looked cool but he WOULD say it with the same sense of awe he had in the green room and i think michael would hear all the things unsaid there. and it'd probably take him aback because his wings to him have never been anything except tools to aid in his soldiering and being a good son and whatnot. he never even flashed them once on the show! not once! they aren't dazzling like lucifer's used to be or infused with lightning like raphael's they're just. there. and adam thinks they're cool anyway. and if it were anyone else michael wouldn't give a shit but since it's adam i think he'd short-circuit just a little bit
