“Sure, Gabriel had been their enemy at one point and wasn’t the best ally, but after seeing everything that Asmodeus did, Sam couldn’t help but miss the older version of Gabriel. They may not have always been on the best of terms, but it hurt to see Gabriel change from the chattering trickster to the empty shell that Asmodeus had made him.
My Charlie Morningstar redesign with some ideas for my AU below!
- Charlie is very much still bubbly, energetic, very naive, but has a temper at times that she struggles to keep in check. She assumes that things will go exactly how she wants no matter what.
- She’s dumbfounded when her meeting with Adam doesn’t go to plan, and when she snaps at him Adam just uses that as proof that the exterminations are necessary to protect heaven from dangerous creatures like her
- She refuses to use any of her powers / pull her royal rank because most of hell is already afraid of her and she doesn’t want people to be scared of her and the hotel. She hates being referred to Lucifer’s daughter which put a strain on her and Lucifer’s relationship, she wants to be seen as her own person, not an extension of her powerful parents. She wants to seem just like any other demon in hell, but because of her privilege it comes off as very insensitive at times as she doesn’t realize what the rest of hell deals with.
- When she finally gets people to come to the hotel (Husk, Angel, etc) shes so desperate to redeem someone that she’s horrible at respecting boundaries, trying to figure out what their sin was in order to “fix them,” it wasn’t until Sir Pentchious arrived that she realized that she was treating everyone like a project and not as their own person.
- Despite not wanting to use her powers, there’s times when she doesn’t realize that’s she using them, especially when she’s emotional.
- When Lilith left, she blamed her Dad for it and refused to talk to him for the longest time unless she really needed something. Lucifer believes that Lilith must be dead because he doesn’t believe that she’d leave, but Charlie refuses to believe that. Eventually her and her Dad start talking again, but there’s a lot of tension with Lucifer refusing to believe that sinners deserve redemption while hell born are forced to be stuck down there.
- She bonded with Alastor quickly despite knowing that he’s just doing it all for his own goals, because it was nice to have someone not immediately be afraid of her and since he brought more people to the hotel, (Husk and Niffty)
- When she first meets Vaggie she immediately knows she’s an angel, how could she not? She’s naive but still protective of her people and could sense the heavenly origin of Vaggie as Charlie is technically half angel herself. She reluctantly allows Vaggie into the hotel after Vaggie explained herself, but doesn’t really trust her and thinks she might be a Heavenly spy for the longest time, but eventually realizes she was wrong.
- When she realizes she was wrong about Vaggie, the idea of a fallen angel just pushes Charlie to believe in her dream even more, if angels can fall that must mean demons can rise.
- Vaggie and Charlie have a long enemies to lovers arc, Charlie learning to trust angels, especially one that used to hurt her people, and Vaggie dealing with her fall / being a child soldier, and the propaganda that all of hell was pure evil, compared to Charlie’s dream
