My Server Player Deployed Something???
none of these basic items seem to require build grist to deploy.
Cruxtruder: this dealy seemingly costs nothing to deploy and needs to be bashed with something heavy in order to be opened. once opened, it releases your kernel sprite (which can be prototyped twice). the wheel on the side of this strange device can then be turned in order to produce cruxite (a.k.a. dowels) which is very important for alchemizing!
step 1) insert a punched card
step 2) secure a dowel in place
and wallah, this thing will carve your dowel into a shape. this shaped dowel is basically like a key and needs to be used with the alchemizer in order to make whatever the shape tells the alchemizer to make.
important pointers! a totem lathe NEEDS to use punched cards and once a card is punched, it's basically useless and if it had something captchalogued on it, then whatever you captchalogued can no longer be retrieved! so be careful!!!
Alchemiter: in order to use this, you need to put the shaped dowel on the cylindrical pedestal with a symbol on it attached to the dang thing. then, it basically does all the work. you can choose how many you want of whatever. in order to be able to choose the size, you need an extra attachment which will cost you grist. sort of. you will need this device to alchemize your ENTRY ITEM. which is a really fucking important deal.
Punched Card: this punched card is a total freebee, and for good reason. you'll need it to alchemize your ENTRY ITEM. your server player has to drop it for you. good luck with that.
these are thing that cost a little extra grist to get your hands on. but most of them are soooo worth it.
Punch Designix: i bet you thought this thing was free, didn't you? well it's not. this bad boy costs 4 shale grist and is sort of the only reason you can alchemize a shit ton of whatever you want. in order to use it, type in the captcha code of whatever you want to alchemize. then insert a blank card and watch it work it's magic. you can type in whatever code you want and it doesn't have to match whatever is on the card you insert. when you later insert the punched card into the totem lathe, it will read the punched code, not whatever is on the card.
CD: this weird cd costs 100 build grist. and guess what? if you load it into a computer, it loads Grist Torrent. that's right, stealing your partner's grist has never been so easy. torrent times may vary and are usually slow. torrenting more than one type of grist will apparently slow down your torrent time.
Jumper Block Extension: remember when i talked about adding extra attachments to your alchemizer? well this is the thing that lets you do that. it costs 1,000 build grist and lets you plug in about nine punch card shunts. what's a punch card shunt??
Punch Card Shunt: these things cost 10 build grist and tell the jumper block extension what features you want to add to your alchemizer. you have to slide a PUNCHED card into that baby real sly and it will read the punched code and add some sort of feature based on whatever code you punched. so if you put in, say, a card punched with the code for a blender, then it will read that and turn your dowel pedestal into a blender. please be fucking careful. it is too easy to turn your alchemizer into a piece of shit. by the way, these become pointless if you put a card punched with the code for the jumper block extension into one of the shunts. the whole dealy becomes part of the alchemizer and all you have to do is put the punched cards into slots on the side of your alchemiter. sweet, right?
Holopad: this thing costs 10,000 build grist and will show you a hologram of whatever you're trying to alchemize before you alchemize it. at least, that's what it does when you add it to the alchemizer via shunt. it probably does the same thing on its own anyway.
Intellibeam Laserstation: this costs 100,000 grist and i don't know what it does yet.
expect this list to be edited once i figure more out.
