"Not at all! Hearing you talk Duel Monsters strategies makes me think you'd be really good at shogi! Have you played?"
Clasping her hands, Koharu conjures up an image in her mind's eye of what a game between them might look like and feels a zip of enthusiasm. Ahh, but let’s not get carried away... With a small shake of her head, Koharu zeroes back into reality just in time to catch Yugi's next words, casting a glance around to note the absence of the friend in question.
"I bet it is," she remarks with a soft laugh. "Hopefully they don't give him too much trouble--ah?" Her voice trails off into a faint squeak at his next words. Wants them to meet her? Really? "Y--Yes...! It would be nice to meet them, too--actually, if you'd like..." She wrings her hands and then moves to gesture them about quickly as she steels her nerves. "They could--come to the cafe sometime! You mentioned most of them play Duel Monsters too, right? We have a few regulars who use tables at The Lucky Rollcake for it as is, and I'm sure I could get you guys a discount on the food!”
Actually, she knows so. Every so often, her dad very earnestly tells her she can invite friends to the cafe any time, and that he'll make sure they feel welcome. She used to feel so bad about not having any friends in particular to do so with, but now there's--well, they're Yugi's friends, but Yugi is her friend--maybe, kinda, possibly. At the very least, they're fellow game enthusiasts. Game enthusiasts who eat together sometimes. That's something, right?
