Here they be, The Elusive Vessels from the Nightmare Syndicate AU~ This is also their size difference between each other
Little Ghost (still named by Hornet after they met and spared once before Ghost escaped and Hornet didn't try to give chase) is the most elusive of the three escaped vessels.
At this point, they are like a cryptid around the Capitol, not quite a fun bug to run into since they often seem like they can just vanish within the shadows completely (they simply use their void and shade to become less visible and go out of sight). When they need to approach common bugs they do hide their Shade within their shell.
Somewhat carefree, very curious and enjoys freedom to the fullest, exploring and fighting things all the time. Pale King IS trying to find them and capture them again but Ghost is more than a scary opponent, they WILL kill or obliterate anyone who tries to take their freedom away. Their affinity for the void is scary.
While Shade is also Ghost, they do tend to communicate like two separate minds sometimes but together they are one being.

Broken vessel/Lost Kin or Wanderer (named by the Nailmasters) holds more common with White Lady's roots and ability to heal. When they escaped they were incredibly injured and had no soul to focus and regenerate. Wandering, one of the Nailmasters found them and took them home to help them recover.
The brothers can sense some oddity within this young bug but they silently and collectively decide it's none of their business and simply wanted to help them recover. As Wanderer was healing, taking their time on purpose because they were curious about the three brothers (and their tiny Nailsage who didn't butt in the business), they because found of the warriors and vise versa.
Staying with the three they started to learn the nailarts. The brothers also notice their incredible skill and abilities and took chance to help them grow, more than just within fighting skills.
Wanderer can sprout out roots from their back to lash out, similar to Witch's crest but they cannot soul drain with them (yet). They can redirect soul they have to heal someone else's fresh wounds.

Greenpath Vessel or Tiny Squib (named by Hunter) escaped through sheer circumstances and not due to wishing freedom. They followed their other two siblings and almost failed but another sibling helped them escape for some reason while they stayed behind.
Squib was a strong nature of a wyrm or a beast and, unusually, it's something wild bugs and critters can sense about them. Due to circumstances of following an abandoned and scared Beastling, the critter noticed Squib had trouble walking.
Something about how they developed made them disabled. They can stand and walk sometimes but often they would do so rigged or down into tumble. Beastling would help them get around, letting them ride on their back and Squib would treat them as a friend.
At some point they would accidentally fall for one of Hunter's traps, unable to escape. As Hunter found them he was impressed with the two and their loyalty for one another. He would release them but the two would follow Hunter around curious. He was annoyed at first but then started to notice the Little Squib's affinity for the beasts and their unique nature. It made him think he could to possibly make them a great hunter some day.
(note that Tiny Squib in this context is affectionate~ I liked that Hunter originally called Ghost that so I figured it's fun to bring it back this way)

This doesn’t cover the full range of silly little things they do, but I hope this helps you understand some of their basic poses! Spiders really dont like to bite humans and usually only do so as a last resort, so if you pay attention to their little warnings, you can avoid getting nipped! And if I forgot anything or other spider knowledgable ppl wanna add notes, feel free! 🕸️

Chelicerae / Chels = the fanged mouthparts of the spider; they act almost like a sideways jaw. 🦷
Pedipalps / palps = the little front appendages closest to the chelicerae and fangs; they look like little paws or hands 🙌
Spider body language can subtly vary from species to species, and even from one individual spider to another. The more you observe spiders, the more you’ll recognize these little differences! Example: Some of my jumpers are very showy with their threat poses, others resort to a fear pose. Some I’ve never seen a defensive display from at all ! 🔍
I cannot guarantee that you will never be bitten by a spider, so always use caution! I’m very comfortable with handling them often but even I have been bitten before (my regal jumper Millie gave me a warning nip that didnt even break skin lol; it was my fault because I wasn’t respecting her boundaries) ‼️
Accidents can also happen, and though venomous, jumping spiders are not considered dangerous or deadly. That being said! If you are bitten, make sure you seek medical treatment right away. 🩺
Please be as ethical and kind as you can be to the spiders you encounter :) even if they DO get defensive!
Woooo, very simple and quick thing i randomly had the idea to draw. I LOVE centipedes, I even own one, and my boyfriend really loves velvet worms (tho theyre not available in the pet trade in Poland YET), so i decided to draw these 2 cuties together.
