Trinket boxes! And what are they?

Trinket boxes are usually bejeweled animals and things that are able to transfer and manage souls in toys.

They only trinket boxes that don't have sentience are item trinket boxes. For example; a princess carriage, a telephone, a lamp, a foot stool, ect.

Non sentient trinket boxes can be used by anyone. They are easily exploitable so they are all hidden and kept safe using the Hydra who protects trinket boxes.

Sentient trinket boxes can give souls to toys and take souls from toys and store them. If a trinket box breaks while holding souls, if those souls had a previous owner it will return to that owner. If the soul has no owner it will fade.

Broken trinket boxes can't hold souls even after being fixed.

If a toy hasn't been played with or remembered for 5 years it's soul will either fade and return to the trinket box that gave it or if said trinket box is broken it will fade away completely.

Trinket boxes can also give souls and transfer souls between things other than toys but it's not recommended.
