It feels like forever since I decided to have a corner into the internet space. It has also been forever and a day since my last blog post. That saying is getting too old now but I am still hopeful I’ll get the hang of this blogger lifestyle and be more consistent. This is my safe space where I am able to share the “looks” I create, my goals, trials and achievements. That is the sole purpose of “NicoleMeetsTafadzwa” with of cause beautiful visuals accompanying all of it.

A lot has happened since August and I’ve definitely missed ya”ll , I had to reshuffle my priorities and take care of my mental wellbeing first and well slow progress is still progress. I always want to bring out my best- positive self to this platform , so taking a much not really deserving but rather needed break from it all was necessary. I feel a bit more like myself now, much after weeping deeply over the life I hoped would be. Grieving losses and then washing my face and trusting God to back my pieces back together.

Besides all the trials September had and how overwhelming the month was your girl got through it. I owe it to myself to be as magical, driven, light- carrying and as fantastic as I know I can, deserve to and will be. These places are all choices and I can choose to inhabit and own them

This minimalistic outfit is one I put together for a portfolio shoot I had since I finally got signed to an agency “cheers to that”. I wanted something effortless but still chic and boy I think the finishing touch to it all was just what I had in mind. I cannot get out o this gold sweater any time the weather is a bit chilly, I just love it

With that being said whilst my character is still under construction. I am going to do more. That means more posting and A-Okay grades. Multitasking is definitely not one off my strengths but here I am, trying my best to juggle it all an still coming out strong.

The blog took a break for the holidays. I have missed you guys and my blog as well. It’s 2018 a chance to re-start and re-focus. 2017 was a pleasant year I finally realized what my purpose was and found my way around my passion (this of cause). I started my blog, an idea I had since my high school days, I made my first step to getting my degree, I healed from usual mental breakdowns since my teenage years that is somewhat an ongoing process, there is no end point to healing. I became less dependent on social media for validation and the pressures of social media. I met a few good people and let go of a few people as well because nothing in this world was promised or belongs to me anyway. All I own is myself.

I am optimistic that 2018 is going to be a magical year, we are only a month in and God has already shown me the path he will take me on and it looks beautiful. I have a lot of plans I am executing and I know they will prevail. I wanted to get back here when I am at an honest place in my life and genuinely so this is the time. A time I can present my best self and that is solely being based on my infectious zest for life, love and happiness on display through my fashion choices and my blog. This disconnection helped, I am back and I am going to do my best stay consistent. Life’s curveballs will come my way but that’s not going to stop me.

About this look:

Feminine pieces have always been part of my style even in “masculine” looks, I give that feminine touch! This is probably one of my favorite looks ever as it’s risky and more on where I intend to take my style journey. I have come to terms with not being loyal to one particular style, I enjoy transition processes of moving from one style to another. I chose a chic and super cool look with my favorite pair of old school jeans. The lace bra gave it a daring look and it adds a subtle pop of color. I put on a shirt I absolutely love with scotch detailing to add some sophistication and class to the look.

I wanted to associate this look with a certain level of comfort but I did not want it to take away the uniqueness of the outfit I created. I finalized the look with a cool and it really came out with a modern vibe to it. I would wear this to a festival such as AfroPunk, Market events and Concerts.

Edgy is the way to go and style is art I am ready to tap into a not so predictable style era. Aligning my internet presence with a new and expanded version of myself.

Hello lovely readers it has been a while, a whole 2 months to be exact.

I am back now and as much as I am trying to juggle exams (tis that time), I could not let another month pass by without posting something interesting here on the blog. This post is rather a short snippet of a night to remember. I attended the SA Fashion Week ( Autumn and Winter 18) last Saturday and what an experience it was, from the show itself which was literally a movie, to the fun adventures I had with my friends and not forgetting seeing a whole lot of fresh faces I know from Instagram. It was all just overwhelmingly amazing and I could go on and on but here are a few images on the buzz and the ensembles I put together and wore.

Paired these Flamenco pants with a plain white t-shirt because these pants are an accessory on their own so I had to tone in down a notch.

I had so much fun with this outfit , it is true if you look good, you feel good. The colours worked well together as well.
