Claude shrugs. “I figured she would’ve told you. All I know is that a few years ago, something happened to his mom, and Allegra tried to help him and he lost his cool. They haven’t spoken since then, and he pretty much burned the bridge between them.”
He ponders her second question, tapping his chin to search for an answer without sounding like a horrible jerk. “My point is, Félix just gives off a bad vibe. Bad things tend to happen around him; have you ever noticed that? I swear, he’s like a black cat.”
Bridgette didn’t say anything to that, instead biting the inside of her lip. She already knew that Mme. Agreste was…out of the picture, but that was all. She wasn’t going to push such an uncomfortable subject on Félix, especially since she knew all too well what it was like to lose a parent and deal with the aftermath.
At Claude’s comment, she had to physically stop herself from snorting too loudly. “He’s definitely not like a black cat,” she replied, almost to herself. “I dunno if you’ve noticed, Claude, but I’m probably the unluckiest girl in Paris. Did you miss the part earlier where I mentioned a guy on a bike ran me over? If I’m able to deal with all the messes that happen in my regular life, I’m sure I can deal with whatever ‘bad things’ happen around Félix too.”
Claude rolls his eyes, casually moving her aside from the upcoming biker. "Coincidence aside, while I agree you happen to have many... Mishaps, per se, you aren't the unluckiest girl in Paris. Even if you were, you'd still have your three best friends in the whole world by your side, even against the rich upperclass that turns their noses up to us when we walk by. And yes, as much as I know you're probably going to punch me in the gut for it, that includes Félix."
He ruffles her hair lovingly. "Well, all that aside, why do you think your regular life is a mess? Sure, you're chronically late and scrambled in the morning, but your grades are some of the highest in the class. And if you're referring to the time we tried to teach you to rollerblade and Allan had to follow you on a skateboard because you couldn't stop, it was my fault for pushing you."
quvntic:
“Mm, if you say so…” Claude heaved a sigh. She’s always like this; putting others before herself. While it was a good quality, she could sometimes let it get the best of her and only hurt herself more than what actually happened. “Y'know Allegra used to be friends with that guy?” He began. “Like, good friends. She was telling me when he first got here that their parents used to be tight. But something happened, and everything fell through.”
Bridgette raised an eyebrow in surprise. “No, I didn’t.” A thought occured to her, and she held her hands up, trying to verbal backtrack. “Well, I mean, I did know that they knew each other beyond being classmates, since their parents knew each other? But I didn’t know they were good friends like that.”
She was about to ask why Allegra hadn’t told her this herself ( she definitely knew about Bridgette’s crush on Félix ) before biting her tongue—that wasn’t Claude’s answer to give. “Hm. Well, okay. What’s your point? Sometimes friendships don’t work out, that’s not anyone’s fault.”
Claude shrugs. "I figured she would've told you. All I know is that a few years ago, something happened to his mom, and Allegra tried to help him and he lost his cool. They haven't spoken since then, and he pretty much burned the bridge between them."

“Who did you get all these roses for?”- quvntic
joyeuse saint valentin !
“Everyone!” Bridgette’s eyes were practically sparkling as she gazed over the large pile—it had taken a lot of her savings, but it was exactly how she’d imagined it. She’d already sectioned off what roses were going to go to who; friends were getting bigger bouquets, of course, but she definitely wasn’t opposed to giving other people a few here and there. She’d made sure there were enough for that to be no problem at all.
Handing Allegra her group of roses—a selection of yellows with a red here and there—Bridgette beamed at the other girl. “I can’t remember the last time I was able to go all out with Valentine’s stuff like this—everyone is getting a rose! Unless they’re allergic; I’ve got little candies in case that happens. I’ve got all my bases covered!”
"Oh my." Allegra looks her up and down, placing hands on her shoulders to keep Bridgette from bouncing into the ceiling. That wouldn't be a fun Valentine's Day. "You've really prepared yourself. This must've cost a fortune, though..."
But with everything that Bridgette is and what she does, her gesture was too sweet to refuse. Allegra took the bouquet, breathing in the sweet scent of the roses, and smiles. "You know, different colors of roses have different meanings. Red is passionate love, and I think yellow is platonic."
quvntic:
“Rushing jerks are the worst,” he grumbled, running a hand through his hair. “They have no regards to other people’s well being. But Allegra forgave you; and her dad owns- er, owned, a music store; she’s got plenty of things to replace the trombone with.”
Claude tugged lightly on her bag, “Do you want me to carry this for you? We’re in class together for the first block; I really don’t mind. Besides, your arms need a break. And ignore me all you wish but you know I’m right. When he dresses like a businessman, claims to be too busy to participate with others, and doesn’t bat an eye at others, he’s stuck up.”
“Mm, yeah…” That was true, but it didn’t stop Bridgette from feeling bad. She hadn’t been able to make eye contact with Allegra for almost an entire week after that whole ordeal, and while she was very glad things had worked out, it was hard to forget on her part. So much for being lucky.
“Hm? Oh, no, Claude, you don’t have to do that. I appreciate it a lot, but I’ve got it!” Bridgette replied, smiling gratefully at him. She would probably regret that later, but she had a ton of books in her bag, and didn’t want to throw that on top of Claude’s own stuff. Besides, it was a good way to build pain resistance, or something.
Grabbing at the change of subject, she shook her head. “Well, if one of your parents was a major business CEO, I’m sure you’d act like that too—he’s probably on a super tight schedule all the time and has to wear all that stuff. Not that I mind; he always looks so sharp!”
LILO & STITCH QUOTES STARTER PROMPTS.
“Claude, you say that about all your “experiments.” You can’t keep using the “theoretical” loophole, especially when it doesn’t even apply here!” It wasn’t often that Bridgette was the voice of reason ( that typically fell to Allegra, the registered Mom Friend™, or Allan who stepped up if she wasn’t there ), but the pair were on their own for now.
Bridgette would admit she was interested, but only to herself. There wasn’t any need to egg Claude on—this was only gonna result in trouble, and probably not even the fun kind. “Invisible or not, it’s not a theoretical paper airplane if it’s actually gonna hit someone!”
"But Bri, this could help so much in battle!"
The brunet heaved a dramatic (and frankly unnecessary) sigh, flipping over dramatically. This plan was foolproof, thank you very much. Bridgette usually was on his side; Allegra was the mom friend. Though, when the latter isn't present, he assumed the former would take her place.
"Imagine it! A tiny, unsuspecting paper airplane to distract our foe, then BAM! It hits them and throws them off!"
"Shit." -quvntic
One Word Sentence Starters
“Funny—I was just about to say that.” Ladybug’s tone was light, airy; as though she didn’t have a care in the world, but the way her fists were clenched at her sides and the small twitch of the muscles in her jaw gave her away—she was very concerned. This did not look good for any of them, and the spotted superheroine really didn’t want to be the one to tell Fu that they had so magnificently fucked up.
Without moving an inch, she began to speak again. “Okay—we’ve gotta get our stories straight, alright? I mean, knowing Fu, he’s probably watching this whole damn thing somehow, but maybe there’s still hope for us, right?” It was wishful thinking, and they both knew it, but Ladybug was pretty good at denying the obvious sometimes.
"Right," Melodie sighed, pulling her flute out and cracking her neck. "Fu's gonna swoop in and save the day like a magnificent eagle."
The heroine's eyes looked to the sky, calculating what she might have to do to make this work. She snapped her wrist, the golden whip emerging from the end. "Okay, Ladybug, you take the ones on the left and I'll take the ones on the right?"
Dear god, let this work.

“…Claude, you can’t. Please, if you’ve ever trusted me, or ever wanted to listen to me ever, now is the time.”
A small, somewhat tired smile appeared on Bridgette’s face, and she gave his shoulder a light punch. “We’re friends, aren’t we? You know by now I’m stubborn as hell. I wouldn’t just say no for no good reason, right?” She wanted to tell him—she wanted to tell all of her friends, and not for the first time, either, but there were rules, ones she didn’t dare break, that said she couldn’t breathe a single word. Even despite that, she wanted to tell them, but as much as Bridgette hated it, such a thing was just a fact of Ladybug’s existence: keep the secret.
Rules be damned, there was another reason; she wouldn’t put her friends in danger. She wouldn’t.
"Bri, it's an akuma terrorizing the city and you're running towards the danger." Claude reasoned, spreading his hands out. "You're gonna get hurt- or worse."
Stubborn as they were, the son of the mime was not going to let her get in trouble- not today. Even as Fu's right hand man, sometimes he knew rules had to be broken. So why couldn't his friend just listen for once and not get herself killed?
"...then let me go."
Paolo Sebastian did not make these looks for mortals. They were made for ethereal goddesses from regions beyond.

“Again?” Claude raised a brow at her statement. That’s the third time this month it’s happened. Almost too often to be certain.
Sure, Fu said to stay out of Ladybug’s way until further instruction, but the son of the mime knew that she and her not-so-lucky partner were in this city. Maybe it was Ladybug running Bri over every phase of the moon.
“Are you sure that it’s not the same person as last week? You’ve been getting hit by bikers a lot lately; maybe you should talk to the headmaster.”
Bridgette waved a hand, shrugging slightly. “I doubt it—there are probably a billion bikers in Paris, and I’m not so unlucky that it’s the same person every time. Just enough that I keep getting run over,” she replied, laughing a bit.
Maybe she needed to find better excuses—she was definitely clumsy enough that anything would work at this point—but anything was better than the truth, and saying she got run over was at least more interesting than ‘falling down the stairs’.
“Anyway, I don’t think the headmaster would be able to do anything; it’s not like random bikers are in the academy’s jurisdiction. It’s not like I’m on school property while I’m getting mowed down.”
Claude pursed his lips, but sighed, tugging on his bag. “I know you’re clumsy, but that’s starting to get ridiculous. Though, I suppose it’s not as ridiculous as getting your hand stuck in Allegra’s trombone.”
He tought back to when Fu tought him the signs of lying: averted eye contact. Fidgeting. Unnecessary, erratic movement. She was displaying those. What was Bri up to? Maybe it wasn’t his right to know- yet.
“Well, maybe it’s someone that goes here. I know it’s not that stuck up guy you’re in to; he probably has a private car to take him here.”
Lucifer inspired sentence starters!
"Besides, this is my fault. I should've remembered how thoughtless and selfish you can be." "Why don't I affect you, Detective?" "You need to see that you're not meant to be together. You need to be with your family." "We've been watching you for a while now." -"Perv!" "Whoever put together this brochure should get special treatment in Hell." "I don't want cake. I want cash." "Is that why you won't have sex with me?" "If I'm going to take this guy down, I need my partner. And that's you." "Oh, you can't leave now. You're the guest of honor!" "Well, you heard the lady! Let's crank it up!" "What I desire... Is a raspberry and cream cheese muffin." "People like you. They find you helpful like duct tape or a trusty socket wrench." "I'm going to learn how to douche." "Now, tell me, what is it that you truly desire?" "No, it's not mind reading, I'm not a Jedi." "You look like a homeless magician."

“Oh—these bruises? You’ll never believe it; a guy on a bike ran me over. Didn’t even stop pedaling either, that jerk! Though, as far as hit-and-runs go, this was probably one of the more mild cases, which I guess is good…” While she spoke, Bridgette examined the bruises running down her shoulder to her arm. Someone on a bike had run her over in the past, but this wasn’t the cause of these particular bruises.
Patrol had been particularly rough last night; she felt like a worn out punching bag. Usually, luck was on her side when it came to fights, but Bridgette supposed even Ladybug’s fortune had slow days. It could have been worse—bruises didn’t scar, and she would gladly take escaping with bruises rather than not escaping at all.
