Hex Lovers #2 (2 of 2)
Hex Lovers #2 (1 of 2)
Fistful of Wands comic by Teo Acosta
Commissions, sketches, and some comics from the last month or so.
"When approaching a Sniper Witch, make sure its with your hands up and a contract ready to be signed. Also double check they're in-between gigs, otherwise you're just pissing them off."
---------------------------------------------------------
"We were just sitting playing cards when this little pink light seared right through Gun Shaman's neck. We knew she was a wanted wiz, but we figured this far from town we'd be safe.
Feckin' Sniper Witches, man."
Day 11 - Storm Witch
"You reeeeally don't want to piss off a Storm Witch. They are easily the most stubborn and powerful witches out there. Hell hath no fury like a Storm Witch scorned, bro."
I’m available for commissions! Contact me via [email protected], DM me here!

“What did you do today, Teo?”
15 minute morning warm ups!
I made a little process gif to show how I make Hex Lovers:
Storyboard -> Page layout -> Pencils -> Digital Ink -> Halftone.
I've never felt like I was a strong writer so I always storyboard each story to get the complete idea down on paper. It might not be obvious but the rectangles are about 1x2".
After I can read through the story I'll start on page layouts. This gives me another chance to review angles, and think about the flow and the reader's experience.
At this point I'll sit down, find some solid reference and render out the page (panel by panel) in pencil. This is more for my own practice, I could probably do less work at this stage but I want to use all steps to improve as an artist.
Currently, I do not have a working scanner so I'm taking a photo with my phone and then inking on top of the photo. I'm working exclusively in photoshop for this step.
And then I render out some cool shadows and stuff. I honestly feel this is my weakest area but the only way to improve is through hard work!
A little collection of fun morning warm ups from the past week!
The first issue of Hex Lovers is out now on Gumroad!
I had so much fun making this, and I am incredibly proud of how it turned out! 18 pages of wizard romance, depression, spells, and a “tasteful wizard dick.”
I couldn’t decide what color palette to go with for the sticker, so I made this gif to help make my eyes hurt!
I will have stickers for sale at Olympia Comics Festival!
Companion print for my upcoming wizard romance comic! So happy with how the colors came out.
Know your metal, or be crushed.
Made this comic about 8 months ago. Totally forgot about it until i was doing some digital spring cleaning today!
