ZITS are making a network of void holes for travel and the biggest one is at Magic Mountain (I think the size of the Boatem Hole) and is filled with lava so what if return of whatever people headcanoned was under the Boatem Hole, bigger and better than ever? (If a creature of Void can ever be changed in a way as to be described as Bigger, given they're already the vastness itself perhaps...) Void Volcano creature reaching into various bases, more and more hermits getting involved somehow...

Another group of hermits, nearly the same ones as before, living together, connecting their bases, building around a massive hole.... well. No wonder it happened again. The Void has the perfect conditions to once again reach out.

Maybe it never left.
