How does it feel to be an adult?

Our life is made up of time; our days are measured in hours, our pay measured by those hours, our knowledge is measured by years. We grab a few quick minutes in our busy day to have a coffee break. We rush back to our desks, we watch the clock, we live by appointments. And yet your time eventually runs out and you wonder in your heart of hearts if those seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years and decades were being spent the best way they possibly could. In other words, if you could change anything, would you?

And there's that feeling. When you don't know if you feel happy, sad, disappointed or exhausted of life. You're just sitting alone and wondering what do you really feel.

I’m sure all of you have been disappointed or betrayed by people in your lives. Whether it’s been your family members, friends, community leaders or scholars it’s always disheartening. It’s obviously painful and it can shake your trust in others.

You can either become bitter, angry and withdrawn from these negative experiences or you can REFRAME and be grateful for being shown their true colors. There is wisdom in knowing where you stand with people, who you can’t trust and who are secretly against you. Think about it as being saved from more heartache in the future or from being misled.

Instead of withdrawing, having enmity towards others or distrusting everyone you meet, simply recognize it as a test, learn from the experience, be more cautious and search for people who are more genuine.

It’s always good to remain hopeful and trust the master plan. 🌸
