I just hope you don’t stay gone.
Don’t leave this world to me.
Sometimes I write drunk and revise sober, and sometimes I write sober and revise drunk. But you have to have both elements in creation — the Apollonian and the Dionysian, or spontaneity and restraint, emotion and discipline.

What else? She is so beautiful. You don’t get tired of looking at her. You never worry if she is smarter than you: You know she is. She is funny without ever being mean. I love her. I am so lucky to love her, Van Houten. You don’t get to choose if you get hurt in this world, old man, but you do have some say in who hurts you. I like my choices. I hope she likes hers.

To live is to choose. But to choose well, you must know who you are and what you stand for, where you want to go and why you want to get there.
Kofi Annan
To live so authentically and happily that I inspire and motivate others to be the best versions of themselves
Goal #1
coming back
If anyone still follows me— Hi. It’s been quite some time. Looking back at my old posts (middle-school-era) is quite nostalgic. I felt so hopeless beyond saving and felt so many intense emotions I have since forgotten. I am lucky, honestly. Lucky to be alive, and lucky to be relatively happy and content with my life. I am in college now, living a life I never once imagined for myself. I never thought I would make it here. I remember telling myself once that I would not make it through my teenage years, believing that with my whole heart. Yet here I am.
With that being said, I think the past is important. Recognizing the struggles of yesterday gives hope for tomorrow. I made it over my hump of depression, I grew as a person and begun to find myself. However, recently I feel as if my growth has stunted and that scares me. I made it this far, but what’s next?
I am coming back to this blog because I want to self-reflect and have the accountability that entails in this public sphere. I want to connect with you all and hear your stories, too. After countless drafts on Facebook and Twitter and half-completed journal entries, I have found this re-inventing of myself to be unauthentic and out of sight. The idea of “re-inventing” oneself is so often a cliche. I want this self-growth, sharing and accountability to fuel my personal growth, not my aesthetic or social status that I so often get caught up in.
What better space to start sharing and connecting than going back to my roots? For me, that is this space and the emotions I processed in this community.
I applaud you if you made it to this last paragraph. If you are reading, and want to help hold me accountable to this new era of self-development and are interested in growing with me, please let me know. Since I have been alluding to goals for this self-growth throughout this post, I will end this post by stating these goals objectively:
1) To share updates on my life, both the highs and lows.
2) To leave no emotion unprocessed.
3) To find and share my deepest and most authentic desires.
4) To teach what I have learned with those who are currently battling the same difficulties I once dealt with.
5) To foster a community with those who have the same goals and hold each other accountable.
Shoot me a message if you want to talk more, or follow along with me as I seek to unpack a new chapter in my life.
Cheers,
Logan
