Now I'm thinking about once upon a time a younger Apatia not yet apathetic to the horrors around him with bright eyes just trying his best to help people and how that spirit would soon be repeatedly crushed and ground into nothing I love him so much and even more with every new bit I learn about him my favourite perpetually tired fish man just trying his best

Young Apatia, accepted to be one of the high guildmasters due to his talent and power. Hopeful to be a change in the world. To make people's lives better. Witness to corruption right in front of his eyes without being able to do anything about it. Falling into apathy and depression and guilt. Sleeping away all his problems because he can forget the world is going to shit if he's asleep. Sometimes he wishes he could stay asleep forever.

I wish LoL got as popular as some of the other massive hermitcraft fics with like hundreds of people making fanart and oneshots based on it so I could read more about my blorbos (Apatia Tris Sor and to a much lesser extent where I mainly want to use him as a chew toy Dolios) but alas I fear I may have to be the change I want to see in the world when I gather my motivation I will write so much about apatia's eternal guilt

Do you think he gets nightmares about what he did and didn't do do you think he sees the faces of everyone he let die

That would have been really cool. Its my dream to have my work be popular. But alas thats not how the luck of the internet works. Maybe if we released it now when Hermitcraft fandom is at its peak and shipping is accepted. (I do not miss the old days of the fandom when you were sent death threats for shipping things)

But oh 100% Apatia has nightmares and unresolved guilt over everything. He spent years TRYING to do something but being shut down at every turn. It eventually turned to apathy. Why do anything to help when its not going to work anyways? But once he started helping the hermits all that past guilt and shame caught up to him. And now he's haunted by the screams of the people he didnt help. He cannot stop seeing the blood on his hands. Blood he let spill because of his inaction.

1 does Tara exist in LoL 2 what is her magic and 3 is she still with Tris in LoL

Tara does exist in LoL! She's Tris' wife and the reason Dolios has Tris under his thumb is because he's keeping her and their son Penn captive and threatening to kill them.

I havent thought about her magic tbh. Probably something to do with fortune telling/future reading.

first up we have who would have the most discourse and or debates surrounding them as a character: and id say its gotta either be Dolios with both rabid lovers and haters or Apatia with arguments over whether he truly changed/ deserves a second chance

duo discourse and or debates: goes to the void bros no questions asked i can image the arguments over whos at fault (and some people pointing out that theyre both idiots)

fan edits: now this is a hard one obviously the ones who serve the most cunt (Ren Tango and Ex) would get quite a few but of course Dolios gets points for crazy and villain im not immersed enough in tiktok for this category so idk

Man using LoL as a oneshot/snippet format makes me excited cause now I can design and assign magic to all the new hermits. Like Gem and Pearl and Joel and Skizz. Skizz my fucking beloved guy Skizz. Grian won’t be the only Angel Mage in their group anymore.

Skizz being one of the last remaining Light Angels on the planet. Celia was the last one in Lairyon but Skizz isn’t from Lairyon. I love Skizz he uses his light magic to refract rainbows everywhere and subsequently blind people by accident.

theres something oddly funny about Dolios getting squished right at the end of his "becoming god" monologue its probably not comedic and a lot more epic and dramatic and cool and stuff in actual story form but just

How he ends up getting reincarnated into Dolie is kind of different. He had so much spite and desire to live his soul persisted a little after he died and was subsequently snatched by the sequel’s villain and reincarnated into Dolie. Joe even remarks how he thought he saw something fly off after Dolios died.

Also Joe was going to be very important in the sequel. As well as an explanation for why he’s able to break the fourth wall and why his magic seems to be different. Basically explains why he can do what he did in that one chapter where his powers seemed to manifest without him actually casting a magic circle.

who actually gets to kill Dolios at the end of LoL because like almost everyone has reason to because he caused at least some misery in everyone's lives so who gets the final blow or is it like a final team hit

Dolios ends up dying by his own abomination. The creature he was feeding all the magic to. Screaming about how he was about to become god before he got crushed. And the Hermits had to use light magic to defeat it.

And dw Apatia ends up surviving. He retired after LoL and now just lives peacefully in the countryside growing his vegetable garden.
