“Never been in one of those either, to be honest. Definitely don’t think I could handle more than one person at a time,” he said with a shrug. Sometimes he felt like he could barely even manage that. Taking care of himself and his grandma was enough without adding anyone else to it. “Oh yeah, everyone has bad days. Sometimes you just plant a foot wrong and take a nasty fall. Luckily out here it’s not that bad? Like, the waves just aren’t enough to get really hurt. Out in other places, though?” He whistled at that point, head shaking. He’d seen some crazy shit when traveling for competitions. “And nah, nah. I can train anytime. I stay flexible for whenever people want to get out there.”

“They’re stressful. Though the sex can be fun." Raven had dated around, she wouldn’t lie about it. Sometimes she even dated a few people at once. The girl however preferred to be monogamous over anything else. “Ouch. So maybe we should start in the shallows and never let me actually go out on a wave,” she suggested with a nervous laugh. “Good, you do not want to see me in the mornings. I’m very much a night owl.”

“They say getting a taxi in New York is bad, but they’ve obviously never tried flagging one down in Orlando.” Wally chuckled as he slid into the back of the taxi. “I’m sorry for forcing you into sharing with me,” He said, turning to smile sheepishly at the other passenger, “I’m a bit late for a meeting and I’m sure you know how bosses can be. I’ll pay the fare, don’t worry.” 

Buckling in she took a moment to respond, having trouble with the lock. “Oh no it’s fine,” she replied, sounding a little tired. Raven could be a little groggy after a night djing. “Nothing like a pick me up than sharing a cab with a cute guy,” she decided on, now settled in. She gave the stranger a soft smile. “I’m Raven by the way. I didn’t catch your name?”

“I think the cold weather made all the babies want to be born. I delivered five babies in two weeks. One was early,” Beth shook her head as she looked over at the person beside her. “I just hope I get a few days to relax before I have to make up all the lost appointments that I had to cancel with the storm.”

"Were they any cool ones like twins or something?” Raven asked. “I mean, all babies are cool but you must see a lot. There’s got to be some that are more exciting than the others, right?”

“Yes,” Sage said with a firm nod of her head, “They really are.” She had to think that way, truthfully. She just had to keep thinking like that in order to get through her days. “Sometimes it’s hard to remember, but it’s important too, I think,” With her mouth full, Sage tried to smile, cheeks bulging with the salad she was currently cramming into her mouth. She got limited time to eat, and she wanted to get every last bite. Food was important. “I just wanted them to have options,” she said once she’d swallowed. Tossing her hands up with a laugh, Sage nodded. “I know! It’s the worst! It’s why I never really used the sharpener as a kid. I was neurotic even then,” she said with a snort.

“You had the sharpener but didn’t use it... oh man,” she laughed, resting her head in her hand as she did. “Sage you’re one of a kind that’s for sure.” She remembered kids fighting for the big packs that came with the sharpener just because it was cool. “Don’t get indigestion,” she warned when realizing just how fast Sage was eating. Raven was lucky in the sense her schedule was far more relaxed and structured due to her position at the home. Not handling actual medicine meant she was kind of like the cleaning crew - she didn’t need to be on call for an emergency because all she could do was monitor, she couldn’t administer a thing. “So, apart from you know work what’s on this week?”

As she looked towards his bum, Justin made a point to flex his muscles back there, just to make a real show of it. “Too fat for a bounce castle, maybe,” he chuckled. “I’ll be honest, I didn’t do much jumping for fear of just that. …that or popping the whole thing.” He shook his head at that, laughing under his breath. “It was probably a real sight to see. But, you know. When a kid asks you to do something, saying no is a lot harder than you’d think.”

The flex made her laugh. It was so unexpected it made the whole thing ever better. It was always nice to meet someone who could play along with things just as easily as she could. “Next time make sure someone films it, you know, for future amusement needs of yours truly. Oh, I’m Raven by the way,” she held her hand out as she introduced herself.

“Yeah, yeah my job is actually the best job,” he agreed, allowing a grin to creep up on his lips. He wasn’t the type to gloat, necessarily, but sometimes even he had to admit that his job was insanely amazing. Letting Raven grab his arm, Alexander followed over to the couch, taking a seat and holding his phone out to start showing her the videos. “They’re really quite precious. Jeda is the male and Anala is the female.”

“What’s your favorite animal to deal with? Or what about the ones you hate?” Raven was always curious about what made a person tick. It was the little details she always was fascinated with. “Jeda and Anala? I love it. Were they super tiny when they were born?” How small did Tigers start off? She knew they could be quite large but didn’t know much beyond that. “Do you have any more videos?”

Wincing through a laugh, his cringing smile stuck around a few seconds afterwards. “I don’t know if the soles of those heels can handle me. I just picture them breaking instantly. Which is truly a shame, I know. Caleb does enjoy trying on Jane’s shows, though. Perhaps he’s our guy.” Referencing his young nephew with his familial pride. He mused, briefly, on which response he was leaning towards, next. “Raven, I thought you were smarter than that. It’s for taking over the last bit of my salting.”

“Hello, drag queens work in heels. We can certainly find a pair that can handle you,” she pointed out with a snicker. “Caleb’s Jane’s little boy, right?” she double checked. Raven worked with a lot of people, sometimes she had to check the details so she didn’t mix them up with others. Her head tilt back as she laughed at his response. “Well I’ll have you know I salt walk ways for free.” She playfully sent some salt in his direction. “But I will accompany you to somewhere warm nearby and make sure you defrost correctly.”

“Dude, every guy probably says that’s like the ultimate dream. Twenty women like actually throwing themselves at you? But, yeah…that’d be fucking nuts,” he agreed, laughing at just the thought of having to be the bachelor on the show. Not something he’d ever be down with. “Totally, though. Little chill in the air won’t stop me. I surf every morning, rain, shine, snowstorm. You should, though. I got you on the lessons, just hit me up when you want to start.”

“Love triangles suck. Anything more than that is too much. Twenty four is just a mess if you ask me.” She wouldn’t deny, the idea of having your choice at women certainly was appealing but it also sounded exhausting. “Have you ever had like, a bad day on the waves? Like an accident or something?” She questioned. "Please tell me your lessons aren’t first thing in the morning. I only get up earl for work. On my mornings off I would rather sleep.”

“The point of love, yeah. I don’t see it,” Camila shrugged as she covered her hands with the sleeves of her sweater. “Honestly, I might think more of it if my birth family cared, but I guess there’s always reasons behind things.”

Raven fidgeted a little as they spoke. “I guess so... But I dunno... you can’t deny something because one lot of people doesn’t necessarily show it the way others do. Families can suck either way.”

“Mhm! We have two cubs that we’ve been working with and…oh, our hippo just had a baby!” He was beaming at that point, the pride in his work showing. Quickly, he reached to grab his phone, pulling up videos that he had taken of all the baby animals. “Of course, plenty of videos. Here’s a good one of the cubs playing together with their mom.”

“A hippo? Oh god my heart is going to explode with how amazing your job is.” She knew it wasn’t cut all the time, like any job there would be hard times and times you would rather be at home but it still sounded like fun being able to see animals all day. “Oh come with me...” she gently grabbed Alexander’s arm and pulled him over to a nearby couch. Sitting down she was able to focus on the video better. Her hand raised to her mouth to try hide just how much she was smiling like an idiot. “They’re so precious.”

“Ah, it’s the best sport in the world,” Katie sighed wistfully. “I’m biased, but I’d of course suggest getting into it. All the NWSL matches are broadcast online. And, if you want, I bet I could hook you up with good tickets.” She’d only just joined the team, but with a name as big as hers, she was almost positive she could pull some strings. “Right back is a position, yeah,” she laughed, “Basically like…I play defense. I run up and down the right side of the field and cut off passing lanes and plays for the other team over there too.” Shaking her head, Katie surged up onto her toes, falling flat to her feet a second later. She just felt the need to move. “No though, I don’t think so. Soccer’s my go to. Though, I ran track in high school. I’m…kind of fast.” She was really fast, actually, being able to keep up with some of the top strikers in the world, but she didn’t want to brag.

It was rather cute how the other seemed to somewhat light up at the conversation of soccer. It was clear it was a passion of hers. No, not a passion but the passion of her life. Something that let her up inside. “Well I’m not one to shy away from trying something new,” Raven replied at the offer. “Wait, soccer has lanes?” It was obvious Raven was piercing together their conversation in attempt to learn the game. She really had no understanding of it except that David Beckham used to play it and he was husband goals. “So if you’re on the right side... I should try sit on the right side and that way I could watch you play,” she voiced, hoping it was logical to do such a thing. She wouldn’t follow very well but if she knew where the girl was she could try work out how good at defending the ball she was. Raven couldn’t help the amused laugh that bubbled out of her as the other moved. It was like there was an energy flowing through her Raven would love to tap into. Maybe she could get the other to go clubbing with her or something. “The most I did in high school was a year of cheer leading but I grew out of it. Kept the uniform though.”

“I couldn’t tell you how it didn’t pop with my fat behind up there, but I managed to make it work somehow,” he chuckled. He knew he was big, both in height and just overall mass. He worked out a lot to keep his shape. “As for why, a small child asked me to and how do you say no to that?”

She glanced down, tilting her head to get a look at his rear end. “I wouldn’t call it fat,” she said as she straightened up. That was pretty adorable actually."Sounds like quite a party. But I have to ask - every time you jumped did you hit your head on the roof?” she tried to keep a straight face but once again her amused smile came out to play. “I seriously am trying to picture you fitting in one of them and it’s both delightful and amusing.”

Keira chuckled in amusement upon hearing that from her, reminding her of her grandpa who always did it to her grandma just out of fun.”Oh dear, men are perverts through and through”,she replied with the same smile, “Hopefully not. Like maybe when I take care of him or her, and then boom, love at first sight? Something like that, but I wouldn’t mind a cute doctor for sure.”

She laughed, agreeing with the girl. “But sometimes it’s nice, when it borders more of flirting than being over the top sexist. I like a guys eyes on me. Especially if he’s tall.” Raven had a type. “Oh man I feel bad for anyone who loves me at first sight. Then they have to actually meet me and put up with my personality. Mm I’ll keep you in mind if I meet any doctors. I’m Raven by the way.”

“I can’t help it~.” The girl pouted through a little whine. “The emotions. Everyone dreams of having someone that loving and dedicated. If they say not, they’re lying. I like a good lay as much as the next person, but I admit I’m more of a sappy romance gal.” A heavy sigh came forward, next. “Ah, with no reason at all, that’s the best kind. Is it weird I also like to do that? Like, even leave little notes or a text saying you miss them or hope they have a great day and stuff like that.”

"Saaaame. Like don’t get me wrong - sex is amazing. One night stands, casual things, friends getting rid of boredom, whatever. But still, the idea of falling in love... It’s a nice thought that’s for sure.” She sighed, bringing her hands to her chest as she thought of a future romance. “Noo that’s not weird. That sounds so cute.”

It was probably true that yellow did brighten up a person’s day more than most other colors did. Something about it just seemed happier. “Oh, way true. That show kinda ruined the whole giving a rose thing, I think,” he chuckled. He’d watched an episode or two because of his sister and he wouldn’t say any of them were actually any good. “But, man, not a lot today. I didn’t have any clients because of the cold, even if…whatever, you can surf in this weather. It’s all chill.”

“Plus, what guy thinks he can actually handle like twenty girls, when most can’t handle one of us?” She joked. Truth was though she wondered if a guy could ever really handle her, all her previous relationships hadn’t work out for one reason or another. “Have you been out in the cold water? I hope you’re being safe, I’d hate for anything to happen. One day I will learn how to surf, but I think I’ll wait til it gets warmer.”
