what i learned recently about this clip is the guy was actually Terence McKenna, who was a pioneer of scientific research on psychedelic substances, also specialising in the cultural and traditional usage of plants and psychedelics

there’s like countless hours of his university lectures and talks on YouTube (check out We Are Happy Plants) and they’re fascinating and strange and the whole ethos of “taking it easy but taking it” really shines through - i love them
