I think one helpful response you can have to news of environmental devastation is seeing what local/international indigenous causes you can support. They’re among the people on the front lines of the fight for the environment. There’s a few in Brazil I’ll list since Bolsonaro’s government has been increasing the devastation to the Amazon.

Here’s a Twitter post the English-speaking account translated about defending the rainforests: “GUARDIANS OF THE FOREST: INDIGENOUS PEOPLE LEAD OPERATION AGAINST LOGGERS IN PARÁ (State in the 🇧🇷Amazon). The fight never stops, whether against loggers or against the government, we will always be in the battle."
