Hiiiiiii! Omgggg I literally loveee your hc’s of the guys! Of course!
An order of Rise!Leo Angst headcanons coming right up!
-I always saw him as the kind of guy to say “I couldn’t care less!”, but actually? He cares waaaay too much.
-Too much that sometimes it feels like it’s the only thing he can think at night when he’s supposed to be sleeping.
-So in response, he doesn’t have a good night-schedule. Actually I lied he doesn’t have a schedule at this point.
-The guy could be thinking and re-thinking a million times how he messed up things.
-And even when he hasn’t made a mistake that day, he finds his way to think how a tiny thing that he did that day could have spiraled into something way worse.
-This had been happening since the Krang incident, suddenly every tiny little step he takes can spiral and become into a huge problem.
-Even Raph is kind of confused and worried about this. He knows Leo too well, and seeing him overthink everything, reminds him of himself.
-He has tried to help Leo every time he can, but Leo won’t let him, he just shrugs it off with a “What do you mean, big man? Everything’s fine! You’re fine! Donnie and Mikey are fine! Why wouldn’t I be fine?!”
-He’s not fine. And the worst thing? He won’t let anyone give him the help he needs until it’s too late.
-Or until they find him crying uncontrollably in fetal position, hugging himself the best he can.
-It’s not until then that he finally talks.
-He talks about his suffocating fear of messing up again with something that seems small but later reveals to be something immensely devastating.
-He talks about how he never feels enough and that he can’t live up to his father’s expectations. Leo knows everyone’s place in the team, except his.
-Because, Raph is the strong man and the older brother. Donnie is the smart guy and scientist. Mikey is the creative and playful soul. And him? Who is he?
-The face-man? That could easily be Donnie. The skilled and agile one? That fits Mikey way better. The athletic guy? That has been Raph’s thing since he discovered a pair of dumbbells. The only thing he seems to fit in is, the funny one. The one that people make fun of and get tired of eventually.
-Besides the more he laughs it off, the more his brothers won’t take him seriously. That worked for a while, until he couldn’t take it anymore, and now here we are! Funny isn’t it? The funny guy is the one that has the most complex hate relationship with himself. Who would have thought about it? Definitely not him.
-After that and more worrying statements about his self-esteem and psyche, the guys promised to help him through every step of his healing journey.
-Because, it’s going to be a long one for sure, maybe a little bumpy, and very difficult to not fall over again. But his brothers will always be there to catch him every single time.
-They will be there every time he feels like the world is against him, or every time he feels like he’s not a good leader for his team and family, and specially, they are going to be there when he feels alone.
You kind of got me in a dark night where I just needed to pour all this negative feelings into something (Leo) lol.
