Casey’s distaste for you developed from pure jealousy. you were the better fighter, you were allowed to go on solo missions, and you still had your parents. he was so jealous of you that his jealousy eventually turned into hate
Everything about you pissed him off. your stunning smile, your adorable laugh, the way you could easily take out any opponent - including the krang
Whenever he was mad at you - which happened a lot - he was quick to yell or say something rude. but the most infuriating part? it never seemed to bother you
Leo tried his best to make you get along. he paired you up as patrol partners, made you train together, even run supply missions side by side. but that only made casey hate you more. in his mind, the only reason he was paired up with you was bc leo didn’t trust him to do it himself
It was supposed to be a routine supply run. quick and easy. but in times like these, nothing was ever ‘quick and easy’ the krang attacked without warning. you were left frozen as they tore through the caravan, destroying everything in sight - including your parents
Against his better judgment, casey grabbed your arm and pulled you to safety. the screams of the less fortunate filled the air as you stopped underneath a hidden overpass, away from the destruction
You immediately start to cry. you couldn’t help it. in less than a minute, your entire family was ripped away from you. everyone you ever loved was gone
Casey tensed up when you started crying, confused and.. strangely concerned..? he had never seen you cry before, not even when you dislocated your shoulder during training. and for some reason.. he hated seeing you cry. so he bent down and hugged you, murmuring soft reassurances as he held you close
When you eventually stopped crying, cj leaned back and started to gingerly tend to a cut on your cheek, his nose scrunched up in concentration. even little cuts could lead to infection, especially during times like these
‘You didn’t have to do that..’ you whisper sullenly as casey applies a bandaid to your cheek ‘well i know what it’s like to lose someone’ he murmurs softly before finishing up and patting you on your shoulder ‘let’s get back to base, okay?’ he stood up and before you even really knew what you were doing, you grabbed his hand and pulled him back down for a quick kiss
You both turned bright red. you instantly shoved him away from you, standing up and crossing your arms against your chest ‘that doesn’t mean i like you or anything’ you mutter stubbornly before storming off, leaving casey behind with a love sick smile plastered across his face
