A different post this time around, involves a bit of love and history. Meet ma pals @aamer11 and @karishma.ahmed they recently had the good fortune of getting married to each other (hoping Aamer agrees). These photos were shot in Ahsan Manzil the residential palace and the seat of the Nawab of Dhaka. Khawaja Aamer Ahsanullah is the descendant of the first Nawab Khawaja Alimullah. He took Karishma his newly wedded wife to Ahsan Manzil to show her bits of their remaining family heritage. The estate was abolished back in 1952 and the palace has been acquired by the Bangladeshi govt in 1985 and remains as a museum of the family heritage currently. I took the opportunity to capture moments where Aamer felt kingly for the first time and showed Karishma the pink palace of Ahsan Manzil. We also got to know some first hand inside stories which Aamer heard from his grandma bug him if you're curious. 😬 Ps. My thug wife was in charge of crowd control for these celebs. Year end post 1/2: outtake from the last shoot of 2018 with my favorite woman of all times. 2018 has been the most imbalanced year of my life. It contained the life altering goodness along with some of the worst professional decisions I have taken. Lets not hide the bad and only pretend to be on unicorn island on social media. I have taken the worst decision of a business partnership in the beginning of this year which has costed me this entire years worth of time, money (debt) and sanity. At a point when I was in dire need of it all. Moreover it costed me alot of valuable relationships and the trust and faith people had in me personally and in business. I earned all of it back but the scar remains. All because I put my trust on a psychopath of a business partner which lead to the filth that followed. But again if I can blame one person in all of this it would be myself because it was my decision to be a part of it and as a self proclaimed adult I should've seen it all coming. So yes everyone studio theory which could've been an extremely successful venture had to be dissolved because of many mind boggling difficult to digest reasons (ask me personally if you're curious). But all of those bad experiences (that still creeps in occasionally) has been nullified by the good 2018 brought to me, it came in form of my wife @kmaysun and Ill elaborate on that note in my next post before the year ends. Wife @kmaysun found a random similarity in our professions the other day (Wife - architect, myself - psuedo photographer). We are both apparently curator of spaces i.e she curates the designs of exteriors, intreriors, walls, lines, symmetry of a physical spaces, while I try to curate a frame usually faces and spaces and ellements around them. I'll be leaving town on the 17th to spend time with my wife for a month. The time off allows me to fullfil my quota of romance also gives me space to step out of my workflow and get into a emptier space where I can think about what to create once again. The bubble of a workflow is financially very healthy (in the short run) and I am thankful for it but it is creatively almost harmful. I got quite ecstatic yesterday cause I YouTubed and learnt different ways of using Lightroom to colour grade photos. It's safe to say I haven't done that in a year or more almost and that was alarming. Learning from different sources is what keeps the rate of progress in this craft higher. 3-4 years into photography progress and changes has slowed down alot but it should never fully stop. The last post from my wedding, given how extra we are its worth a watch. Like I have mentioned once before that we have done the official/religious part of our wedding while the main events and celebrations are due for winter 2019 in Dhaka.
