Greetings, internet stranger, I'm Raasturi (previously known as Ager Avena, TundraBox, or Star the Wolfox).

This is my personal blog where I (mainly) post art about my OCs and media I like. Most of it is SFW, but I do swear, and the art I make may be suggestive/violent sometimes (tags: #suggestive, #nudity, #gore), so viewer discretion is advised. I speak English here (may not always be the best), but I also understand Finnish and Swedish. My art style is very inconsistent, I'm still figuring it out. I don't do commissions, sowwy 😔. Bunch of character headshots (also a sort of style practice)

I knowww, I still haven't finished the Pride drawing, I'm so homophobic 💔💔💔. It's just that I still don't really know my style, so I needed a moment to draw something simple. Also I was busy renovating and rearranging my room. So here, have a bunch of my OCs that you've never seen before!! (All are from the same universe except Gembone and Verinahka)

I couldn't resist drawing a couple Steven Universe characters there too, teehee. I rewatched the series and it hasn't left my mind since. Maturing is realising that Steven is awesome and literally the best. This is me whenever I see him:

Anyway, I found this sick ass brush ("Pencil 1 Sketch (mypaint)" on Krita. No idea if it's default or if I got it from a downloaded brush bundle) that I used in both drawings. In the first one I went with my more usual style, but I didn't really like the soft shading (I tried adding proper shading but it looked even worse), so in the next drawing I went for a chunkier style which looked so much better! Loved the drawing process (rare treat for me) and loved the end result. Still a bit too glossy for me though, so I'll definitely have to do more style practices. But honestly, ever since I began drawing in a cartoony style, my art has started looking better and better in my opinion.

Making a more serious post because I want to talk about the current Glitch/The Amazing Digital Circus "drama".

A while ago, when I found out the TADC movie would be coming to my country. I was really excited. Now I wasn't that big of a fan of TADC (at least after the pilot). The longer the show went on, the more I disliked it (especially Jax), but it was still an indie show that I wanted to support. But then a controversy regarding some of the voice actors being racist started popping up. At first I saw a lot of people (non-black) brush it off, but the more I listened to black people (aka the ones who were actually affected by it), the more I realised how big of a deal it actually was. This whole situation also highlighted a problem that a lot of people should know:

If somebody has said or done things that don't affect you, you are not the one who can forgive them!

It's like someone bullying someone, and then you, an outsider, saying you forgive the bully after they apologise. Doesn't make much sense, now does it?

But back to TADC and Glitch. After that, I've found out about even more controversies, like the weird and misogynistic tweets that Gooseworx has made, other VAs from other shows also being problematic and racist, and Glitch's suspicious track record of almost exclusively hiring white people. There is probably more that I've missed, but even only knowing the first controversy made me stop wanting to support Glitch. I just can't watch their series anymore without feeling really guilty and sad for the people affected by everything.

I thought I'd share my thoughts since I've been a fan of Glitch for a while now and I'm really disappointed. I hope they learn from this and do better in the future, though nothing is certain.

Decided to redesign Raaste (my sona) and make a couple turnarounds

These are not perfect, but I feel like I've definitely become better at making them. It's amazing how you can improve at something just by doing it over and over again.

You know, I've been wanting to change my legal name for several years, and now that I'm legally an adult, I can do that on my own. But when I looked up how to do it, can you guess how much it costs to change your name? If you guessed 105€, you would be correct. At first I was like "that can't be right?", but no, it really is. Oh, and you still have to buy a new passport, driver's license, and whatnot.

Out of curiosity I also checked what the cost is in Sweden. It's about 25€, apparently. Like... genuinely why the hell does it cost so much here. At this point I've accepted that I'll just have to pay that amount, but it still makes me think.

I know I like to talk about this country a lot, it's almost like a special interest to me, but I genuinely hate this place lmao. The people suck, the government sucks especially, and I don't even know if there's even any culture left apart from hideous food and normalised isolation.

Every day I learn something about this shit ass country that makes me wish the Russians would come and invade us sooner /hj. Idk, maybe I should move to Sweden when I have the energy and the money someday.

I think I found my kryptonite. I've wanted to install Linux Mint on my laptop for a while, but when I finally start looking up tutorials, they keep making the process more and more complicated by telling me I have to disable some hidden setting or install some dumb program or do some other thing I didn't even know existed, and then they don't even explain HOW to do those things so I'm just left here alone and scared and unironically bawling my eyes out. I hate this

UPDATE! EVERYONE, CALM DOWN! I did it! The penguin is finally inside my laptop, and my heart just became a little warmer. I did cry about five times and my search results absolutely trolled me, but no system 32s were lost, nothing was burnt or destroyed, and unlike according to my usual track record, everything worked on the first try. I'm so good at this, I think Linux should hire me 😍

I found this absolute gem while looking through my old drawings. I made this all the way back in September 2024, but I never finished it and thus never posted it.

I did edit it a little so it looked less messy.

I also found this sketch in the same file. If I remember correctly, this was supposed to be an improved version of the original. This one I also never ended up finishing lol.
