Marrocchi SP 64 Explorer Survival
A rather obscure and uncommon .22 LR rifle imported from Italy. They were available in a more traditional wood stock set-up and still take-down rifles, but the Explorer Survival went with a synthetic approach. The rear stock would house a spare magazine, a small survival kit and knife. While the concept of a take-down survival rifle isn’t new, the SP 64 is rarely seen since they were imported in relatively few numbers. (GRH)

The Mesolithic Tomb of Téviec, Brittany, France
Two skeletons of women between 25 and 35 years old that appear to have died violent deaths with several head injuries and impact of arrows. The two bodies were buried with great care in a pit protected by a rack of antlers. The grave goods include flint and bone (mainly wild boar) offerings (?), funeral jewelry made of sea shells drilled and assembled into necklaces, bracelets and ankle rings, and a few bone objects with engraved lines. Recovery in 1938, restored in 2010.
