being physically disabled in the vsmp fanbase was and still lowkey is like actually fucking impossible lol. it’s like… no guys i didn’t forget that period of time where all of yall were calling pyro and owen Evil Ableists for killing avid because he’s mentally ill, because obviously that means he can’t at all be faulted for treating them like subhuman animals for weeks on end, in owen’s case before there was even any reason to suspect that he’s a vampire at all. you’re right, let’s zero in on avid’s mental disability while completely glossing over his chronic illness. let’s outright ignore owen’s existence as a disabled person at all because it doesn’t fit the narrative that avid was killed because of #Society and not because he was a fucking asshole.

(i have to wonder if avid’s physical disability was more approachable to the fanbase because avid has a Spooky Magic Disability as opposed to owen having a real life chronic illness with like. symptoms and shit. symptoms that are not fun and angsty and able to be woobified by the general public. just a thought.)

no yeah guys you’re right actually, i didn’t even consider the idea that maybe if owen had just listened to the Doctor everything would’ve been fine. it IS unreasonable for owen to get frustrated and upset by legs repeatedly pushing medical treatment onto him that he’s repeatedly and clearly stated he does not want. it IS owen’s fault for being too mean, too stubborn, too scary. maybe if he was Nicer about it he would’ve lived. none of this applies to avid tho. avid’s mentally ill he can do whatever he wants.

like… i remember when yall said that shit. i didn’t just fucking forget. i do remember the period of time where all of the above bullshit was completely inescapable. i do remember stumbling upon fics that treated owen with actual compassion and then pulled a “pre-massacre oakhurst was nice to him actually” out of thin air to make owen feel bad enough to get a Redemption(TM). i remember fanart that had the vampirism heal owen’s canon and visible scarring because it wasn’t pretty to look at. i swear to god the main tags were fucking unlivable for Months after ep7 came out. vsmp fans be normal about disabled people challenge (IMPOSSIBLE)
