Season 3 vs Season 1 - The Pathway, Cliff, and Tent

I love how the anime made it super clear that Akito was walking along the same path that Tohru did when she first found the Sohma’s house back in Season One. I also like how they made it very clear that the cliff that tumbles down was the one above her tent. I always assumed that was the case, but makes it so there is no ambiguity.

The old maid giving the box to Akito is a parallel to Tohru’s grandpa calling her Kyoko after her death. It’s something for them to hold onto after the death of one of theirs parents. 

There is one big difference though, while Grandpa do it for  himself, he also does it for Tohru’s sake specifically. The maid on the other hand, is absoutely doing it for the status quo and to keep the power on theirs side.
