Hi hi hi! I’m Violet! They/Them, ao3 handle is VioletofAngst, and I love writing! I write primarily for Undertale with the occasional ambitious notes app attempt at Hollow Knight/Silksong (though this blog will be Undertale Focused).
I write mostly about Doctor WD Gaster and Grillby (usually as a ship) and have several aus of which I shall provide a rundown of with linked fics. I do occasionally write Fanfic of Fanfic, participate in Secret Santas, and write about Sans, Papyrus, & Frisk being a family.

Aster was a complete other person at work? That’s certainly pretty interesting.. now I finally understand the intro a lil better. That where u wrote abt rumors n stuff.
How the different followers reacted to Grillby knocking at their door got me thinking… What was the relationship between each of them with Aster? They probably experienced his rudeness, as the Fae describes, firsthand..
Some more questions bc y not? :
In which departments did each of these three followers work in? What were their responsibilities?
How did they come in contact with Aster work wise?
How did the followers know what Aster intended to do? (Suicidal wise)
Why did the followers assume he was dead? Was it because they knew he was suicidal?
Aster was never to Grillby, Sans or Papyrus like that (rude and snappy), right?
Where did each of these three followers live at in the underground?
Are the, to us known, Gaster followers also there? (I think you mentioned somewhere that they live with, or near, Toriel)
Did Sans or Papyrus know about Aster’s behavior/relationships at work?
How much do the followers actually know about Aster?
Why did Aster behave like that in the first place? Does Aster being spoiled rotten by Asgore and Toriel have something to do with his behavior?
Why would Aster be suicidal in the first place?
Why did he never tell anyone or get help?
How did he attempt to do it?
Could I have a description about how Aster dressed when he worked?
Did they have any dress codes at the lab?

Yay I'm glad you liked the new chapter!!! It was so much fun to write and is one of my absolute favorites!!! Okay now on to the questions (tw for suicide mentions):
Yes, he was completely different at work than what Grillby remembers.
Their communication with Aster was a necessary but uncomfortable thing, but towards the end they stopped really going to him and sort of took over as he...deteriorated.
Jel/Eel ran studies of Waterfall agriculture, Satin was the head of the chemistry department, and Cleo was sort of a 'runner'. There were several other departments and heads, but these three, other than the CORE management team, were the ones who interacted with Aster the most often. General responsibilities included okaying new projects, running safety checks, putting in orders, and directing staff. Aster was the final checker, orderer, signed the paychecks, and made sure the Lab ran smoothly.
Usually through emails. He kept an open door policy where people could just wander into his office to talk, but nobody ever did (this'll be mentioned in the future prologue chapters, but its not a big enough of a spoiler to hide). But towards the end it was very difficult to keep consistent contact with him, so they just...didn't.
No. Nobody knew he was suicidal until he jumped.
They all saw him jump into the CORE, which isn't something you just survive. So, he's dead. At least thats what they thought.
Absolutely not, Aster both then and now would be absolutely horrified if he was ever even remotely rude to his partner, brother, or son. He was, outside of the Lab, the picture perfect husband, older brother, and father. A very sweet, gentle man.
Jel/Eel lived in Waterfall, Satin in New Home, and Cleo in Snowdin.
Aster/Co live near Toriel on the Surface, yes. But the monsters are kind of spread out within the town of Ebott, and Satin lives in an apartment building with a few other monsters. Cleo lives with her kids and spouses, and Jel/Eel kinda wanders between a house and a nearby pond.
Nope! Sans was roughly a pre-teen when Aster went poof and Papyrus was a child. They just knew he was tired after work and needed playtime and cuddles.
Eh! They know he's married and takes care of two kids, but he's pretty private. They know more about his parents then him. His office has a lot of pictures, but like I said, nobody ever goes in there.
So that's spoilers lol. But no, his aunt and uncle spoiling him has nothing to do with it. He's a very sweet person, and just had a very loving family who treasured him a lot. They raised him well.
Spoilers as to exactly why! But he felt like he had no other choice.
Didn't feel like he could. Felt like it was his fault, and he had to bear the consequences of his actions. And if anyone knew, they'd think he was crazy. But everyone already thinks that anyways.

You pretty much nailed it! Sweater, lab coat, dress pants. Depending on the day he also had an absolutely horrendously ugly cardigan Toriel made him when she was first learning to knit.
Standard lab affair. Close toed shoes (if you have feet or flesh), no loose hanging clothes, kept hands/paws/hand-like appendages clean, lab coat (if you can wear one), and goggles if you have eyes. Unless your Satin, who has so many eyes that goggles were impossible for them. But at a point it boils down to 'dont catch yourself on fire, spill acid on yourself, or absorb the chemicals'
He likes comfy! Comfy, soft, and warm. He's naturally a very chilly person, all skeletons are (except for Papyrus). He also enjoys earth tones, shades of purple and green, and the occasional stylish skirt/blouse combo if he's feeling adventurous. He does not own suits or formal 'male' outfits. He hates suits, will never wear a suit or a tie, and will only wear dresses or skirts to formal events, he wore a gorgeous silky wine red dress for his wedding. However, he will not wear heels or dress shoes, and in fact mostly wears boots or sneakers. Even when in fancy attire. Current Day Aster also has the same hatred for suits.

And I had a lovely birthday with my friends and family, I actually went out to celebrate with school friends today and painted a piece of pottery to be Grillster themed hehe. Thank you for asking =)

15. I assume you mean how he attempted suicide. There will be a chapter of the prologue dedicated to the day it happened, but honestly it's not a big enough spoiler to hide. The jump was his second attempt of the day, with the first one coming just about thirty minutes before he jumped. He attempted to break his own soul with a screwdriver and was stopped. Before that day, he had never displayed any suicidal or self-harm tendencies.

A lot of chapters! In the forties currently. I don't know how big it's going to end up being though, since stuff changes a lot between drafting and writing.
Finished Chapter 15 *way* ahead of schedule, but I need to get it checked over because its a little bit of a mess. I think its kind of an important one though.
I have now also finished Chapter 16. I guess I'm making a buffer now, which is good since exams and my moving day are both coming up soon. Making good progress!
Also my authors note on Chapter 14 is a lie the current story arc has gotten like three more chapters added onto it since I posted that chapter lmao. Taking after my family who also writes fanfic I guess.
