Anachronism Chapter One

Ryland Grace died. He died after failing to turn on the centrifuge in time, and took Rocky with him. He wakes up the morning he is to be approached by Eva Stratt. Centuries pass. The failure of the Hail Mary has doomed humanity. Simon fails in obtaining the black box and bringing it to safety. He is given a second chance to save things, and is determined to stop the coward of a man named Ryland Grace from sabotaging the mission meant to save humanity. Rocky wakes up only a couple years before he is to be sent on a mission to Tau Ceti. He is willing to do anything it takes to get back to Grace, even if it means explaining concepts to his team that he has no business knowing about.

Grace dies during the fishing event and boom swuiioiuuishhhh time travels back to be day Eva kidna errr recruits him for the petrova taskforce

Simon coincidentally dies when the submarine explodes and it takes the black box with it. Swuiiioiiushh he finds himself on earth centuries earlier in the early days of the legendary project Hail Mary…. That historically fails because a coward of a man sabotaged the mission the second he got the chance

Rocky dies when the Hail Mary implodes. Without Grace to pilot the ship, it falls into Adrian’s orbit and takes Rocky with it.

he wakes up just a few years before the ship is supposed to leave Erid. He’d do anything to return to his friend. He knows Grace would die without him this time around.

anyway, Grace is going through introductions again. Ilyukhina, hi, Yao, nice to meet you, DuBois, Shapiro, June, and Ashimov- WAIT. That isn’t Ashimov. In their place is a guy that definitely wasn’t there before, and Grace is darned well sure Stratt would have no reason to switch up the crew. His name, as he gruffly introduces himself as, is Butcher. At least, that’s what Grace is allowed to call him. Exclusively.

Simon can absolutely understand how this egotistical coward of a man betrayed humanity. It’s up to him to stop him from screwing thing sup a second time, even if he has to put him out of his misery.
