❓️What are you filling your "cup" with? When we focus our hearts & mind on Him, we will see these traits in our lives. I want my cup to overflow with these. It's a choice. We are always learning something. Intentionally or not, our brains are wired to adapt & adjust accordingly with life. One thing I ❤️ about homeschool is the learning environment that I get to create. 🌟Its been a beautiful weekend here. I have so much going on in my life, yet feel like it's moving in slow motion. ☀️I'm soaking in the time with my family along with the experiences we are walking through. 💕Here are few thoughts on my mind... ✅️When I say "I can't, most of the time it's me creating a limit on what's possible. So what if I could? ✅️Worry about the unknown creates a physical response in my body. What if it all works out? What if I don't need to worry. So I'm choosing to keep releasing those fears to the Lord. ‼️Grief pops up in the most unexpected ways. Like when I clean out a closet and find a picture. It's ok though. Let the tears roll, its part of the healing. ☑️Hard is ok. To love can be hard. To have loved is also hard. I've determined to walk at least 5 days a week this year. Watched this classic with one of my kids tonight. Okay, maybe we cried through it. I've seen it several times, but after going through grief with my kids, it was interesting how well grief is portrayed for a child. It's really not as complicated as we make it. Grief is a process that is heavy. Our brain wants to make sense of loss & find answers to questions that can't always be answered. There's also a process of release & holding memories. If you or someone you know us grieving, heres some advice: ➡️Go easy on yourself, grace is key. ➡️yes it hurts, but what hurts now can become a precious memory down the road. ➡️fighting reality only makes it harder ➡️moving fwd doesn't mean you are forgetting what you had. Boring. This picture is nothing fancy. But.... It says alot. It shows the everyday work. The small steps. Determination. Working on better habits. So if you look at others and think you don't have "all that" going on in your life. Or think why is mine so mundane? Take heart! Being faithful in the littLe things produces the lasting fruit that matters in your life. Keep stopping & listening to your child even though it feels like repitition. When my husband died, a shift happened. It wasn't my choice. Certain aspects of my identity changed. I was now a widow & a single Mom. But who was I really? Could I handle this on my own? When this shift happened, I didnt become a new person. I actually started to discover for myself who I always have been, & found a new confidence.
