Yesterday afternoon, I walked off the ship in Juneau, Alaska, drove to the airport to meet the talented and fabulous @meganrai then proceeded to shoot an incredibly moving music video. . . Megan and I met here on @instagram (using hashtags). We’d only communicated via my spotty internet and a sense of trust that the universe had our backs.. and magic ensued. My glorious goodness! Yesterday, I felt beyond blessed between “freezing” lol.. this whole trip, really!! Sappy posts are coming within these next couple of days. . . I’ll be leaving this magical Alaskan wonderland soon to finish my album but if you know me, the art never stops. I think you have to be in tune with your gut, your intentions, and have faith that your vision will come together no matter the weather! . . Megan, you were a dream to work with. I couldn’t have asked for a more professional, genuine, lovely badass to work with. This footage is gonna be nuts ya’ll!! . . I had an epiphany the other day-I’m independent and am traveling the world, making epic art that I self-fund but if a label were backing me, trips and art like this would cost me a FORTUNE and then interest.. they’d also hold reins on my creativity. Artists could only dream of things like this so I urge you to make your dreams reality. It seems like I work only to put it all into my art and you know-I’m cool with that 😉 Life’s a trip! And kindred spirits like Megan make me cry, knowing us passionate artists are out there making magic. 🏞OFF TO ALASKA!!! Life is crazy. I’ll be floating around for a month exploring one of my triple A Bucket List Destinations (Alaska, Africa and Australia). One's a pianist (10) and the other, a singer who HAD to get a selfie.. she had a DOOR's shirt on 😉 Literally, that made my day. Not to be discouraging, but it's extremely difficult to do what I do.
