Yeah it’s true! She wanted a piercing but thought it would have been better to just dye her hair instead! :)

Im not ashamed - true or false?

hello everyone! This is my first informational post on this blog. Today I'll be talking about "I'm not ashamed" the movie made a out Rachel Scott! I want to inform you all that I am typing this on my phone so I apologize if there are any typos.

Rachel was asked by Eric if she believed in god

Unknown - On April 20th 1999 Rachel was the first to be killed outside of the school. Rachel was with Richard Castaldo at lunch when at around 11 am shots were fired. Richard was shot and critically wounded as well as Rachel. Rachel was shot 4 times. The one that would kill her would be the shot to her left temple. Its important to remember that it would have likely been impossible for Rachel to say yes with her injuries. Richard reported to his mother that he did here Eric and Rachel have this interaction shortly before her death but it was never taken in for evidence. Rachel's family believes that she said yes. Till this day we don't know wether this interaction was real or not.

Thirteen Tears were drawn in her notebook the day before she died

True - Rachel's drama teacher was the last person to speak to Rachel (besides Richard Castaldo) a few hours before her death. Rachel had drew a flower as well as 13 tears (the number of victims that day) in her journal.

Rachel confronted Dylan and Eric after their violent tapes were shown to the class

False- While it is certainly possible that The 3 had a class together it's not entirely confirmed wether they did. In I'm not ashamed, Rachel is seen walking on the staircase after class before being stopped by Dylan and Eric for "trying to be better" then them.

Rachel was bullied for her faith

True- Like most of us Rachel had a rebellious phase. She would sneak out to parties, drink, smoke and get high. But that was before she had fully committed to god. Once Rachel figured out that she wanted to stop doing her bad habits her friends dropped her and she had got made fun of. But that was not gonna stop her from talking about her faith. Eventually she made up with her friends.

What happened to Rachel's house after she died?

Her family stayed in their house after her death for about a couple months before moving in 2000. The house has been repainted and remodeled :)

not a lot has been said about her music taste. What we do know is that her favorite song was bitter sweet symphony by the verve and she listened to mostly christian bands!

Sue’s Mother’s Day story.

One night, Sue was frustrated that Dylan was not doing his chores, he seemed withdrawn. She thought he needed more discipline. Sue pushed Dylan against the refrigerator.

“And I said, you know, you gotta stop thinking of yourself! You have to stop being so selfish!” Sue says, as she begins to cry.

“I gave him the old mom lecture, and then I said ‘and by the way it was Mother’s Day today and you forgot it.’ And I don’t remember how that confrontation ended, I just remember him softly saying mom please don’t push me I don’t know how much longer I can control myself. It wasn’t a scary thing, it was just him being nice, saying back off please.”

She said she blames herself for pushing him too far.

“Then he went out and got me a gift. It was a little water can with african violets in it. I thought everything was fine because he was just so sweet!”
