I beat my #campnanowrimo goal! Felt great being able to type that many words in a month. I’ve taken a little break on that project and have started editing my #shortstory project. Feels nice to get back into this world. Had the house to myself last night = lots accomplished 😁#writingcommunity https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw-Fa8mATLT/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1s0h19dfl6kcw
Me: I don’t have the energy for this
Someone: For what?
Me: *gestures vaguely*

This is the notebook I’ve been using to track my #campnanowrimo goals. This is Reese, who judges me when I don’t meet said goals #writerbuddy #rescuedog #writerproblems https://www.instagram.com/p/Bv493IjgXbS/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=20kaenqamv5v

This is a problem I have. I produce this beautiful outline for a story, so much detail, so much brilliance. Edit it. Love it. Then I sit down to start putting words on the page for the actual story and can’t. I can not find the words. I know exactly what’s going to happen, it’s in this 10+ page outline. The outline that’s sitting right here. Waiting to be fleshed out. But the words won’t come! Finally something inside my mind snaps and the flood gates open after hours if not days of frustration. It’s like magic. Pure magic. I take this world and people that only exist in my head and poof, they’re on the page. As close to real as they will ever get.

I knew it.... 😩
Me after writing two sentences
Reblog if you don’t write 1,000 words per hour
Don’t be intimidated by posts saying something like “I wrote 7k today!”
I will probably never write 7k in one day. And that’s okay. It really is. On an average day, 1k takes me two or three hours. But I enjoy myself, I like my writing and I know my wip will get finished someday if I keep working.
Shoutout to:
The writers who don’t write 7k per day
The writers who don’t write every day
The writers who actively procrastinate
The writers who love writing nonetheless
Rearranged the ‘dog room’ back into a guest bedroom. That also means I get my desk back! Just finished setting up MY space and am so happy 😍😁

But Frankenstein, the doctor, is the monster.
