I love writing dialogue, so I decided to write an argument, because a writing prompt prompted me to do it lol:
"Living is challenging, but you're making it harder than it has to be," Tyler said.
Marry replied, "Oh, I'm making it harder? You're not exactly making it a walk in the park."
"It's not my fault. You seem to draw out the worst in me. And that's not easy to do!"
Marry smiled smugly. "I didn't think there was even a 'best' part of you."
"Don't make me prove you right!" Tyler snapped.
"I wouldn't think of it! It would damage your pride way too much. And then you would become insufferable!"
"I thought I was already insufferable."
"No. Perhaps irritating, prideful, and stuck up, but not insufferable."
"You know, I could say the same about you."
"Do it. Who's stopping you?" Marry dared.
"Y-you—" he sputtered. "You're spoiled, sarcastic, and snotty!"
Tyler crossed his arms. "You see what I mean?"
"You're the one who started it!" Marry squawked.
"And, boy, do I wish I hadn't!"
"I wish you hadn't, too!"
"You made me talk about it. You always do."
"I made you talk about it?! You?! I made you, you of all people, talk about. . .about what?"
"About. . .what were we talking about?"
