Im going to hold your hand when I say this. It is not realistic to expect yourself or your family to be able to survive solely off of food you have foraged or grown in a garden. People with more knowledge and experience have tried and failed. What do you think happened to all of those communes in the 60s? Most of them failed. Famine and malnutrition have been constant companions to humanity until industrialized farming and food supply lines came along.

It feels like a uniquely American capitalist take to assume these traditions will make you completely self sufficient. You need a lot of people, a lot of time, a lot of knowledge across a lot of subjects, and a lot of luck to provide for everyone's nutritional needs.

So should you even bother trying to be more self sufficient with your food? I argue yes. Foraging and gardening are fun and will teach you so much about many things. They are deeply rewarding activities that can supplement your diet. There are herbs I haven't bought in years because I grow my own. There are dishes I can only make with foraged ingredients because I can't get them in stores.

You may not have the power to do everything, but that doesn't mean your efforts are wasted. Getting 5% of your nutritional needs from food you have grown or foraged, even for a season, is a massive accomplishment.

sometimes I think about these two kids I saw at the playground a few years ago

they were on the swings, going pretty high and attempting to have a conversation despite not being remotely synchronised. anyway they were talking about someone they knew from school, and mid-sentence one kid stops and says, "no, wait, she uses he and they now" and the conversation resumes, now with the correct pronouns. hope those kids are doing well.

oopsie i tripped and spilled my link to archive dot org's downloadable copy of Microsoft office suite for 2007, which features no AI tools and is a powerful word processor that still holds up just fine on windows 10!

Hetalia 20th anniversary background free template!

Someone asked me for the template so I will share it. Credits are greatly appreciated but tbh I don't mind either way so don't feel bad 😂 Have fun!

Hetalia Logo can be found on the anniversary website.

So far, characters don't touch the logo even though they can get extremely close to it. I'd suggest drawing your characters first and see where the logo fits better. After deciding the placement, the character's name goes on the opposite side of the logo.

Font used for the character's name is Eloquent JF. If you happen to have an adobe license, it's on adobe fonts (if not, don't worry, I don't have an adobe license either B))

For the "hetalia 20th anniversary" font I did not find it so if you do ( I'd love to to know, please? 🥹 ) you can use the font-less version of the template.

there are some hand-drawn sparkle effects at the bottom. you can probably draw them yourself or just trace them from the official art if you don't feel confident.

For the petals, slap a directional blur on it and you can pretty much pick up any petal material/brush you can find.

And lastly, don't forget the blurry outline around the character. You can copy your character's art and merge it into one layer, lock the transparency and fill it with white, put it below your character's art then use a blur effect. You can duplicate that layer to get the desired effect.

( There's also the © credit part at the bottom you can fill up if you feel like it. Font doesn't matter but Arial is always a safe bet )
