Hoi Sin Sausages!

Quick to make, totally delicious and a low syn snack for those of you who prefer savoury to sweet! If you haven’t discovered these on the Slimming World website yet, you’re missing out!

20 ready to eat pork cocktail sausages

2 level tbsp hoisin sauce

4 tbsp tomato purée

4 tbsp dark soy sauce

¼ tsp sweetener

¼ tsp dried red chilli flakes

Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees (Gas Mark 4). Combine the Hoisin Sauce, Tomato Puree, Dark Soy Sauce, Sweetener and Chilli flakes in a large mixing bowl. Add the sausages and mix around until they are all evenly covered. Place the sausages on a non stick oven tray and roast for approximately 20 minutes or until sticky.

It says they are 1.5syns each on EE, however using the mixture above i can cover around 50 sausages, so they work out a tad over 0.5syn each! And if you like a little extra kick, add a few more chilli flakes! Yum Yum! Much better than the high syn buffet food!

Mixed Bean Sprout Burgers from SW Family Feast Book

Mixed Bean Sprout Burgers ————————–——— Need: 1x red pepper, diced ½ bag bean sprouts 1x can kidney beans 1x can butter beans 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1x egg, beaten Seasoning: I used ½ tsp paprika + oregano + 1tsp of cinnamon. ————————–——– How to: Put kidney beans, butter beans, crushed garlic + half red pepper in a bowl. Blend the mix up, until about 75% is mashed up. Now add in your bean sprouts, last red pepper + your beaten egg. Don’t be afraid to get your hands in, mix it all up then if you can leave to settle in the fridge for approx 2 hours to thicken up (I left mine overnight and it was perfect). Baking parchment on a tray, fry light well, and using a chef’s cooking ring spread your mix out onto the tray. Cook in oven at 180c for approx 15-20 mins each side
