AU where every vampire has a soulmate, be they human or vampire as well. The vampire has no way of knowing who their soulmate is, no marks nor tethering strings. All except their bat form knows them at first sight, and in a flurry of instincts demands cuddles, returning whenever able much to the vampire’s lack of awareness or memory of the visits.

So I’ve been thinking about this au a lot. What if it got expanded to Louis and Owen? Except, because it’s Owen who knows nothing about vampires and lives in the woods, he thinks he’s just got a strangely friendly bat companion.

Maybe at one point during their meetings Owen mentions that there’s a bat that seems to follow him around a lot. Louis is like “oh, that’s where I’ve been going” (I’d like to imagine that the vampire knows that their bat form is going to spend time with their soulmate but can’t remember who it actually is). And so later when Louis wants to tell Owen that he’s a vampire, he also has to confess that his instinct controlled mind has been stalking him for months now.

Bonus points if Louis’ bat form is distinct enough from other bats to where he knows Owen will put two and two together once Louis shows him his bat form.

Idk, just a fun idea for this.

a v!abolish hanahaki would go insanely hard. guy who keeps everyone away to make sure feelings don't interfere with the job finds out suppressing his feelings is gonna kill him. like genuinely. the act of repression is gonna kill him before any relation ever will if he doesn't deal with this. and the only solution is to accept his feelings and live through them. awful.
